Melanie is passionate about animals, which was clear to see before she could even walk as, given the chance, she would hug them tightly and we'd have to rescue them from her loving embrace. She has grown up with dogs and cats around her in the house, thoroughly enjoying their company on long walks. No sooner would they return and she'd want to take them again, no matter how exhausted they would appear to be. In her spare time, Melanie spent many years at a number of stables looking after horses where she would always make the time to play with the stable dogs. Always drawn to animals, she would prefer to fuss animals prior to conversing with their owners.
