Experienced and Reliable Pet Care from a Kiwi! I was born and raised on a farm in New Zealand 🇳🇿 The love for animals big and small runs deep ♥️ I’ve cared for, raised, trained, and loved many animals in NZ and wish to do the same over here! I am a volunteer foster for Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue - Since April 2023. A little about what to expect at our home: We have an amazing fully fenced backyard for doggos to roam and play. We just installed a doggy door so dogs are free to come and go as they please. I work from home so am home a lot of the time! If I leave the house for a sort period of time we have a camera that is popped up.

Bucket and Hudson had a lovely time at Melanie’s! I bet they didn’t even want to come back home. I adored all the pictures and updates we got trough our vacation. I will definitely be bringing them back when we leave town.
My dogs looked like they had the time of their lives walking with Melanie! Melanie is very responsive and asks great questions regarding your pet's care. We are so thankful to have a great dog sitter so close by to our neighborhood. Ziggy and Zuzu are looking forward to their next walk with Melanie!
Melanie was fantastic with our puppy and we’d recommend her to anyone (and will definitely book with her again in the future)! We booked our stay less than a week after getting our new puppy and Melanie was super accommodating! We got daily updates with photos and our 12 week old boy came home knowing how to “sit”, use the doggy door, and was almost completely potty trained! Melanie was also super responsive and reassuring about my questions regarding other dogs (our dog wasn’t fully up to date on vaccines) and made sure that our puppy was safe his entire stay. Melanie was definitely the best experience we’ve had on Rover and we HIGHLY recommend her!

A typical day
There are so many fun activities that we can do with your pets. We can go for long daily walks around the neighborhood and larger explorative walks during the weekend. Playing fetch games in the backyard is one of Ginger's favorite things to do. We also have lots of interactive toys to play with and will always have cuddles ready for down times.

Availability
Our pup Ginger is a big priority in our house! I work from home and my partner has long periods at home as well. We make it a rule we walk Ginger every day rain, snow, or sunshine. On weekends we do bigger walks usually out at Matnuska Lakes!
