I was born and raised on a farm in New Zealand 🇳🇿 The love for animals big and small runs deep ♥️ I’ve cared for, raised, trained, and loved many animals in NZ and wish to do the same over here! I am a volunteer foster for Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue - Since April 2023.

Melanie was fantastic! I have a high energy versatile hunting dog that has a lot of energy! Melanie kept him busy and happy the whole time! The communication was fantastic and she kept me in the loop with how Riffle was doing. This is the first time I've left him for a week with someone new and knowing he was with Melanie totally put me at ease. She's awesome and I will definitely be booking with her again!
Ziggy ran straight into Mel's house and made himself at home. This is Ziggy's first weekend away from home without his sister Zuzu. Mel's pup Ginger welcomed Ziggy and kept him company. Mel sent adorable pictures of Ziggy so comfortable. He even went for a car ride! Thank you Mel!
Ziggy and Zuzu had a wonderful time at Mel's place playing with Ginger! They came back home so happy and tired. Zuzu made a new best friend looking forward for her and Ginger to play again!
Ziggy and Zuzu loved their walks with Melanie! We are so thankful we have a great dogsitter nearby. Melanie is very responsive, has great availability for my last minute requests, and sends wonderful updates about Ziggy and Zuzu on their walks. They look forward to their doggie daycare stay and getting to play with her pup!

A typical day
There are so many fun activities that we can do with your pets. We can go for long daily walks around the neighborhood and larger explorative walks during the weekend. Playing fetch games in the backyard is one of Ginger's favorite things to do. We also have lots of interactive toys to play with and will always have cuddles ready for down times.

Availability
Our pup Ginger is a big priority in our house! I work from home and my partner has long periods at home as well. We make it a rule we walk Ginger every day rain, snow, or sunshine. On weekends we do bigger walks usually out at Matnuska Lakes!
