My name's Melanie. I've been working with animals since 2002, first leading educational programs at the South Florida Science Museum, as a senior camp counselor, as a camp counselor/education instructor at Lowry Park Zoo from 2008 to 2014, and I've been leading overnight education programs for scouts and school groups at the Florida Aquarium since 2015. I have 8 years of experience working with animals in AZA accredited facilities. I'm also Certified Interpretive Guide. At the zoo, I underwent a Level 3 Screening and Background Check. (We all did). I'm a member of the Florida Association of Zoological Educators. I even helped launch a non-profit about native animals to the Tampa Bay area. I own a small business called the Triassic Media Group located in downtown Tampa. I'm married professional with a great credit score and solid reputation. I'm looking to make extra money to pay off a loan I took out to replace my roof. I love working with animals and they love hanging out with me, so I thought this was a great opportunity to do so. Additionally, I've rehabbed two rescues, one with burns and behavioral issues and another small dog with crushed leg bones that required surgical plates. I've undergone a tremendous amount of animal handling-training through my professional career with animals.
