Pet care experience
I grew up in a house that consistently had 2 or more dogs. Since then I have lived with room mates dogs and I have been hired to dog sit for friends and family. I now have a dog of my own and have fostered dogs for an animal rescue as well as being their Adoptions Manager for two years. I love being outside, walking and hiking and just enjoying the company of a four legged furry friend! I am courteous and careful and follow instructions diligently. I am friendly, kind and will always ask questions if I am unsure. I've never met a dog I didn't love and truly believe they are man's best friend! I have dealt with various medical and behavioral issues and am comfortable adapting to the needs of your pet.

My dog did 2 days of doggy daycare with Melanie and he had a great time! Melanie is super responsive to messages and kept us updated throughout the day with cute pictures. She also took my dog on a midday walk, which my dog was super stoked for. He can’t wait to go back and hang out with Melanie & Milo!
I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Poppy! Melanie was absolutely fantastic and made the entire experience so easy. She sent regular photo updates throughout the stay, which helped keep my mind at ease while I was away. I’ll definitely be using her again in the future, and I know Poppy is looking forward to her next mini vacation!
If I tell you how wonderful she is, you’ll book her before I get a chance! My dog is on vacation when she visits Melanie and her family. Such a lucky dog.
I felt very comfortable leaving Maya with Missy. I got updates every day including pictures of daily walks they would take in the park. I would definitely recommend Missy and hope that she can watch Maya again in the future!

I treat any pet boarding with me as if they are my own. They get routine walks around the neighborhood so they can be comfortable in their surroundings and I can learn their walking quirks. I follow all house rules while staying somewhere else. Keeping to their routine is important. They are allowed on sofas, chairs and in any room where it's safe for them to be.

A typical day
We will go walking around the clients neighborhood, or to any other favorite places. I also like to go to local parks and hiking trails. We will do whatever a doggie prefers; fetching, sitting in the sun, belly rubs.

Availability
I am home full time and will be able to take your pup out whenever works best for their/your schedule. I can board during the week or on the weekends. I am usually up around 6:30 AM so early morning walks are no problem.
