Pet care experience
I have had dogs for my entire life, and currently have four. I also work in dog rescue and have fostered over 100 dogs of many breeds and temperaments. I have worked with (and owned) senior pups as well as dogs with chronic health issues. I am passionate about caring for all animals.

Melanie is the sweetest person and Rosie had such an amazing time staying in her home. I received so many cute photos of Rosie and Melanie kept me updated on how Rosie was adjusting. We will definitely be using Melanie again!

I have a large fenced in yard for the pups to explore. I also have 4 of my own dogs in the home, and so if my clients dogs are dog friendly, they will have playmates. My dogs are used to dogs coming and going because of my foster work, and are great with visitors. I also have several dog corrals which can be used to create an indoor doggy play area if the visiting dogs would prefer to have some alone time. If I were caring for pets in their homes, I would visit and walk them as frequently as needed, and offer plenty of play and cuddle time.

Preferences for play and/or walk time and temperament for approaching other dogs. Some dogs don’t want to be approached when leashed, and that is good to know in advance. I will also need to be aware of any medical conditions and medication requirements.
A typical day
I have a big fenced in yard for the dogs to play, and I have friendly dogs of my own for doggy clients to play with. I also love walks, and if it’s cool enough for the dogs to be out, we can do as many walks as my clients need.

I do not work outside the home, and so have a very flexible schedule. I am taking a break from dog rescue work so that I can focus on dog sitting. Because of my rescue/fostering work, I have experience with many breeds and temperaments. I absolutely love them all, and will care for my clients dogs as I would care for my own.
