Pet care experience
I’ve worked as a professional pet sitter for about 5 years, while my husband served in the Army. Pets are easier than people, most days! Happy Tails = Love! I’ve cared for dogs, cats, fish, rodents, birds, horses, and even an indoor pig named “Kevin Bacon”!

Melanie is simply fantastic! She took such loving care of our fur baby, Kobe. He had a wonderful time playing with her Rigby and sometime visitor, Astraea. We knew Kobe was in good hands from the start, and this was a very long time to be away from him and we felt comfortable knowing Melanie was his shining star. I have already left a review once when I first left my puppy in Melanie’s care, but I wanted to leave another review because Melanie is just THAT good! My puppy absolutely adores her, she quite literally runs into Melanie’s arms every time I drop her off, it’s such a heartwarming sight. I am proud to be a regular client, I couldn’t be happier with the quality of care!
Melanie provides great communication. Pictures and updates daily. She obviously loves dogs and understands them. My dogs are always shedding due to stress after I leave them, and this time thet were not. I recommend Melanie and I will use her again.

I have a locked fenced yard, great walking trail in my neighborhood along with a dog park. I grew up with animals all my life and eventually found a real passion for pet sitting in between raising my kids (Lordess 19, Luke 17). Lots of happy clients both humans and pets.

A typical day
We have an amazing walking trail behind my neighborhood and a dog park that not many neighbors use. Not to mention my back yard is pretty fun. We have a flock of crows that come by to “caw” at my dog, everyday(he hates them, they disturb his naps). I have a hammock for naps and we love treats and tricks!

In between my other commitments, I am looking for part-time work. My days are flexible and I have always loved pet sitting. It’s the greatest job full of opportunities to love fur babies , and keeps me from buying all the animals!
