My Life Doesn't Work Without Dogs

I’m Mel, and I am so excited to meet your dog! Pet care is a passion of mine, and I truly love all kinds of dogs. Conscientious and patient care are my highest priority. I have an open schedule and can cater to you and your pup's needs. I have never lived without a dog my whole family owns them! When people I know go away, they call upon me to watch their dogs--I'm proud to be their go-to pet sitter. Previously I worked as a professional dog bather and have been dog sitting part-time for the past three years. During the spring, summer, and fall, I work as a professional gardener; but for the off season and my spare time during the year, I focus my attention on dog care. Although I love animals of every shape and form, taking care of dogs is most satisfying for me because they love to walk and explore nature as much as I do. Each dog has their own personality so please let me know as many details about your dog as possible. I have experience caring for special needs dogs with everything to blindness and arthritis and the patience to handle puppies and the elderly. I also have experience with cats, reptiles,amphibians, and fish. I love all of them too. All pets are family and you can count on me to treat your dog as I would my very own!

Mel was so wonderful with my dogs!! I never met anyone so friendly and sweet before. I would trust her with my dogs anytime !!!
Mel is the ONLY person I would ever trust with my beloved Rottie and to sleep overnight at my home. I am a Vice President in the medical field and have access to many options for my Rottie, however Mel is the best. Mel has stayed at my home on numerous occasions and has a key to my home...Mel sends me pictures of my Rottie while she is dog sitting and is very accessible if I text her and have a question about how things are going. Upon coming home from a business trip, my house is neater than when I left it when Mel is there...she has an amazing gift with caring for my Rottie and more importantly, she has beautiful and wholesome soul..something which I find lacking in today's world. Very professional and great with scheduling! im very strict on what i feed my dogs and where they are aloud to sit, Mel was very accomidating in meeting my requirements.

I like to know as many details as possible about other people's dogs and their habits so I can make sure their behavior is normal and quickly recognize any health concerns. I understand that some people may experience anxiety about leaving their dog with a stranger so as a dog lover myself I will do whatever I can to put pet parents at ease when leaving their fur baby with me. I have the patience and experience to handle everyone from puppies to the elderly. Please tell me all about your day-to-day routines and any health and behavior concerns so that we can see if I am a good fit for your dog!
A typical day
Providing it's okay with the pet parent, dogs can look forward to walks at the local park, through the woods, and car rides to rivers and wildlife reserves. Once I get to know your dog better, we can also go to the dog park to socialize. I will love playing with your dog however they like, such as fetch or tug of war. I love taking pups to a park or wildlife refuge like near the Brandywine or Ridley Creek State Park. We can hit the trails, or stay close to home and sniff around the block!
