I used to own a farm and pet sitting service as well as manage a high-end pet sitting service in Marin County. I have a lifetime of experience with cats, dogs, livestock and horses and I come from a family of dog trainers. It is my honor and privilege to be a temporary guardian and playmate for your animals. Melanie clearly demonstrates her expertise and years of experience with animals in her care. She understands dog and cat body language very well and respects and treats all animals as her own. My very nervous pup who does not trust easily, quickly warmed up to Melanie and grew to love her very much. Melanie also helped with training and helped me further understand my pups body language. VERY IMPORTANT ... RE: DOG DAYCARE - I offer this service in MY HOME for crate-trained PUPPIES only. What I offer your puppy is socialization, exposure to cats, the outside world and my puppy-friendly dog. I am happy to do ADULT DOG daycare in YOUR HOME only. There are additional charges to come to you. RE: PET VISITS - I offer several home visits per day to ensure your pets are safe, secure and happy. These visits include 30-minute walks for leash-trained, non-aggressive dogs. If your dog happens to be aggressive toward dogs, there is plenty of opportunity for fetch, tug, or other favorite games your dog enjoys. Playtime is also available for cats if they're interested. RE: DOG WALKS - this offering requires your dog to be leash-trained, non-aggressive and non-reactive. VERY IMPORTANT - I do not provide care for dogs with a bite history or human aggression. Also, subcutaneous injections, medications and additional tasks may increase your fees.

Please let me know of any special needs and extra care ahead of time. Travel fees may apply if outside a 15-mile range of my home or daycare is needed in your home. I don't take dogs to dog parks since you never know what you will run into there. I also don't take on human-aggressive dogs or dogs with a bite history.
A typical day
I play fetch, give lots of belly rubs and affection for dogs and cats alike. I also work extensively with puppies and senior dogs. Puppy care always provides training and socialization. I offer lots of one-on-one care and attention.
