Pet care experience
I've been caring for animals all my life. I love my furry (and not so furry) friends. I did house and pet sitting in college specializing in caring for sick animals. I've nursed abandoned kittens back to health and got them adopted. I am a digital nomad and travel a lot. So, I miss having pets of my own and excited for the opportunity to care for someone else's pet.

Melanie house sat and dog sat for us and we had such a great experience. She was so flexible with our last minute needs and our dog loved her! We got frequent updates and pictures and she left the house cleaner than we left it :) would definitely be using her again!
Melanie was a great help with my baby Neko while I was on a mini vacation. Neko is 1 1/2 years old American Pitbull Terrier; quite a handful but very loving. Melanie and Neko connected quickly, which was a relief. I was able to enjoy my vacation without worrying if Neko maintained his routine: eating schedule, 3 walks a day, and play time. I recommended Melanie to my friends and family. The best decision I made for Neko.
Melanie is a true dog lover! She lights up when she gets to play and snuggle with doggos! I would have her come back and stay with Phinney (my wheaten terrier) ANY DAY! I know she's probably sweeter to him than I am :D 10/10 - definitely recommend Melanie!
Melanie was the best pet sitter for my beagle Johnny. I was looking for someone on a short notice and she was happy to help. She was attentive to my requests and I was very pleased at how well she cared for my dog baby. Melanie is caring, courteous and a wonderful person! When Melanie is watching Johnny I know he is in great hands!

I treat pets like my friends. I make sure they are well fed and hydrated - not overly so. They need lots of exercise - for dogs - that means long walks at my favorite place in Dallas, Katy Trail. If they enjoy social time, then we'll be visiting some dog parks and dog friendly restaurants. And for cats, however they wish to play. Whether it's with a red dot, a cardboard box or random strips of paper (because we all know cats prefer to play with the packaging the cat toy came inside) - I first earn their trust and then figure out how they best enjoy play.

I'd like to know the dog's temperament. Does he/she enjoy being around other dogs? Is your pup friendly with strangers? Or slow to warm up? Does your furry friend love being outdoors with tons of energy to burn? Or does doggie wish to take things slow? It helps me to know what to expect. Also, if your dog has any special needs, then I'd love to know all about that upfront.
A typical day
I love Katy Trail. It's such a stimulating walk for dogs, because there are lots of other dogs, animals (squirrels, birds and cats), and people which is great for socializing - if you'd like that for your pet. So, we'd definitely go there and then to dog parks to play. I love being outdoors and getting lots of exercise!
