Your fur-baby paw companion

Pet care experience

Melanie and Anthony have both cherished the company of pets throughout their lives. Melanie's upbringing was graced by the presence of feline companions, while Anthony's childhood was enriched by the friendship of canine companions. A notable memory from Anthony's past is the shared joy of dog-sitting with his mother. In more recent times, Melanie experienced the heartache of losing her ailing mother, which heightened her sensitivity to the responsibilities of caregiving, extending this devotion to the realm of our furry friends. They wholeheartedly embrace the imperative of creating an environment that minimizes stress and disruption for your cherished fur-baby. Their approach is finely attuned to the subtle cues emanating from pets, fostering trust before venturing further. Immersed in the time spent with these beloved animals, Melanie and Anthony earnestly familiarize themselves with their routines, striving to preserve an atmosphere of routine stability.

Melanie and Anthony were great with our dogs, even with one of them in heat. They kept them well fed and exercised. We were very pleased with the experience

My dog Rex, a 12 yr old Pom, was very hipper. He didn't like many people. His continues barking and growling kept many of our friends at distance. However Melanie was able to hold him, pet him and he just chilled on her lap. This was amazing progress not to mention that it was a great relief for me. I would recommend Melanie in a heartbeat!

Melanie and Anthony took care of my cat Little girl when I went away for 3 weeks and she takes care of her every other week when I go for chemo. My cat has stomach problems and needs meds once a day she gives it to her in a timely manner and she has a special diet. she noticed when I was gone she was not eating so she went out and purchased the food she is given every so often and little girl started eating again.

A typical day

We like to keep the dog engaged as much as possible. Every Dog is different, and the first step is gain the dog's trust by letting the dog approach us rather then we approach the dog. The goal is to let the dog know it that they have a companion that they can trust. It starts with playing with them and their favorite toy and giving them a treat. Then, taking them to a dog friendly park like Cherry Ave dog Park, the Grange, Argyle Lake Park and Northport Park.
