Pet care experience
I am a 26 year old nursing student and I have been taking care of dogs are 12 years. I cared for my own and also for other peoples dogs. I have 2 dogs, a German shepherd poodle, a husky and a cat. Taking care of them and hanging out with them is one of my favorite things when I come back home! I’m very active, empathetic, patient, and I communicate well. These are key elements to great care. I would love the chance to care for your pup while I’m away from mine!

Melanie took great care of our pup, took her to the dog park regularly and kept sending us regular updates with photographs. We are going to board our dog again with her for a longer time!
Incredible at taking care of Ajax, every time! Ajax loves Melanie and she sends lots of pictures which we love.
Melanie did a great job with Oso, he was so happy when he came home and Melanie took great care of him with constant pictures and updates throughout the weekend. She took him to the park and on runs every day, and even went to the store and picked up extra food for him when I ran out. I will definitely use her again when I am out of town.
Unfortunately I didn't meet her in person but she was very easy to communicate with and quick response. My dog was very happy and not crazy when I came home so I knew he had good walk.

This means, no food or treats are accessible for your furry friend to eat, no small objects or socks or anything is accessible for them to eat or ingest, there are barriers to other peoples rooms, and I will always be sure to know where the nearest pet emergency hospital is, just as a precautionary measure.

I would like to know if the dog needs any special care or medicines administered to them. I am also open to any special needs dogs. My dog was old and I had to administer daily medications, carry her up and down stairs, and wash her with medicated shampoo.
A typical day
I will go on a walk with your dog to start off the day, take them to a doggie park if accessible. While we're at the park I will run with the dog, play fetch with the dog, or tug o war. This whole time the dog will be on their leash for safety reasons. If your dog does not enjoy these things I don’t mind just hanging out with them and keeping things low key.

Free all day expect Wednesdays when I have class 8am-10am and other than that I am free to care for your pup at anytime needed.
