Pet care experience
Do you live in the North West End of Guelph? Does your pal require late night or evening walks at odd hours because you work an odd shift? We may be able to help you out if you are close enough.. I have night owls who are willing to try. Do you need help getting your dog out for their daily exercise? Myself Melanie(50 yrs on Earth&30 yrs in Guelph) & soon all of my sons(21) as well.. would love to help you meet & or exceed the needs of your furr baby/babies on a daily, weekly, monthly basis or as a one time event. Whether your pal needs walking done in short jaunts or long hikes, watching them overnight so they have someone to cuddle with or visiting them during the day to play & give meds & loves. They will be sure to get the care and attention they need when in our hands. If you have cams in home you will end up with amusing reels of people loving on & talking to critters as if they will talk back any moment, lol. Things we already do & would like to do more of: Short, med, and long distance walks & hikes. Pet sitting overnight in your home.. creates more space in ours which is crowded w family, lol. Pet Drop offs or Meet Ups at Park.. we play.. while you go play, or get your hair done, or take kids to something important..or even shop. Don't leave them alone at home or in the car. Leave them with us!! We can walk them outside the store you are shopping at or the park you take your kids to & get some exercise for all. My name is Ed, and for the last 3 years, my best friend Jiggs has had to be fostered due to the lack of available housing in Guelph. I have also faced some different health issues that affected my mobility and the care I could not give to my best friend. Melanie stepped up and took him in ensuring my peace of mind. She and her kids make sure he receives the love, exercise, and care he requires daily in between my visits. I know he gets the best of care even when I am not there. The way he looks at and the way he loves all of these people is a testament itself to how well cared for your animal will be, Although mine will guaranteed be jealous of having to share the care and attention with so many others. Every animal deserves to be taken care of and get to know this family when their own can't be around. Trust someone who knows from experience.
Mel is amazing with animals! I have seen her with her own dogs over the years, as well as witnessed her voluntarily caring for neighbour's and friend's dogs when help is needed. She is calm, caring, patient and always ensures the dogs are well cared for and especially well exercised! Mel has watched our pets: cats, fish and gerbils when I have been out of town. We have a very anxious, fearful cat named Hersh that was abused by a previous cat sitter's child. Hersh does not take well to strangers in his environment and is rarely ever seen when we have company. Much to my surprise, Hersh heard Mel's loud laugh and came for pets and attention!! Mel has a special way with animals. I trust her fully with my fur -babies and highly recommend her.
I have had Melanie and her sons babysit all my animals dogs and cat for years and I would highly recommend Her. She is prompt for timing and walked my dogs in a very lengthy walk. My animals looked forward to her being around.

Your fur family will be treated like our fur family at any point in time, which means they will be spoiled rotten with love and treats they are allowed, all the exercise they need and more. Whether your baby is a fiesty kitten, rambunctious pup, energetic teenager, or senior who is more chill and relaxed.. We will take care of them as if they are ours. Our apologies ahead of time if they don't notice you're gone or don't want to leave or even try to follow us home, lol, it has happened before.🐾

Please let us know the personality of your fur friends, what they have been through if there was any trauma of any sort at any time etc. Some pets are more social and some are not and we would like to respect that when we are together and taking care of them. We would like to know whether they are good with other animals and require short walks or the longer more active engaging walks. Obvious Medical issues and care. Would you like picture updates while you are away if I or we are house sitting?
A typical day
We love to go for long walks and bike rides with the bigger dogs. We will reinforce the training they have had with small treats only if approved by you. They will enjoy their favorite fetching games and leash free activities where allowed and when trusted to stay on your advisory.. as well as grooming them if they are ok with it.. using their own tools which you will have to provide for health & safety issues. I always have a bottle and bowl for longer trecks. There are many great Parks all over town and you never know where I may end up on any given day, usually on foot but sometimes bike as well...often accompanied by one of my favorite canines.

Myself Melanie am a 50 yr old Forever Young multitasking SAHM who does her own PT thing doing exactly this & many other seasonal odd jobs, housework, cooking, shoveling etc. Alex22 & I look forwards to helping you out as often as we possibly can. We would love to make sure you and your best friends needs are able to be met by our crew/team as often as possible. We can entertain other options to help fit into you and your pets daily routine.. teamwork! Are you too sick, sore or busy to exercise your best friend today? Let us Help! You can drop them off for a couple hours.. Or even meet or pick Alex or I up on the way to go shopping or to any appointment etc and drop us off at a pooch friendly zone near you! I love biking with my well trained friend who follow commands well, especially when the weather is good.. great for dogs who want and need to go,go,go! Would you like to take care of two things at once? Do you like taking your kids to the park to play but find it hard to manage your families best friend and protector as well.. we can meet you there and walk and play with your friend while you spend some much needed time with your child(ren).
