Pet care experience
Loving on and looking after animals has always been a big passion of mine. I have cared for dogs, cats, goats, and even a bearded dragon before. I currently care for animals full time. I have experience with some farm animals, attending to their feedings and very simple medications. I am no stranger to senior pets. I worked as a dog daycare attendant and kennel technician for about a year and half. I have a medium size fenced in yard space at my home to give dogs nice and safe outdoor time. I live on a private road which is nice for dog walking. As well as, my town has many local hiking trails and parks. My cat Cole has separation anxiety, so I am very big on making a pet feel comfortable when away from family. I know how important it is to know your furbaby is in safe hands.

We feel so fortunate to have found Melani to take care of our fur babies! They can be shy with strangers but not with her, they love to come out & play when she visits. She always provides excellent care & sends great pics & videos so we can relax & enjoy our travel.
This was our first booking with Melani and we couldn’t be happier. We’ve already booked her next stay. Melani was gracious enough to do a meet not once, but twice to make sure that it was a good fit. Sloan has a very neurotic mom. Sloan was very happy to see her when she arrived. Melani took plenty of pictures and videos to send us. She also sent updates on Sloan. I would like to know if pets show aggression to other dogs, to people, with food, or with toys. If pets are on any medications. And any other quirks such as chewing up shoes or things like that.
A typical day
I enjoy classic activities such as walking, fetch, splash pad play, tug of war, and find the treat games or puzzles. I also loveeee some good cuddles! If your pet has a favorite activity I would love to be able to do that with them! A special place I would enjoy taking dogs is up to the top of my neighborhood, which is a ridge, where there is a scenic view of the city.
