Pet care experience
Between the two of us, we’ve grown up and gained experience caring for medium and large size dogs and a variety of other pets, including fish, cats, and more! From young ages, we’ve both learned to love and care for pets, and will treat your pet just like it’s our own. We also enjoy going on daily walks (with or without furry companions) and going on hikes. But, we are always happy to spend some time relaxing and laying low.

Mel loves dogs, especially small to medium size ones. She gets right down and plays with them on their level. She enjoys outdoor nature walks and so will your dog! Mel is respectful of your dog’s needs and will take good care of your family's furry friend.
I have known Mel for many years. I can say with great confidence that she is a remarkably responsible, reliable, and trustworthy young woman. She has always loved dogs-and they seem uncommonly attracted to her.

Information Mel & James M. would like to know about your pet
We prefer medium sized dogs, but are comfortable caring for and walking all size dogs! We both have cared for our families’ dogs as they’ve aged, so are comfortable caring for more elderly dogs, along with dogs of all ages.
A typical day
We enjoy walking along downtown streets, around the Canal and River, and when time allows, on nature paths in both Ottawa and Gatineau! We live a short drive to Gatineau park, where we especially love to go during the fall months.

We are two young professionals working in hybrid and fully remote environments, allowing flexibility in our schedules. We live downtown in a roomy, pet-friendly, 1 bedroom apartment with a large balcony.
