I cannot recommend this dog sitter in good conscience. I booked a day of daycare at her house, and halfway through I got a voicemail from a random neighbor saying that they found my dog running around the neighborhood and called the number on her tags. I called Mel and she said she left the dogs unsupervised in the backyard while she went to the grocery store, and my dog dug a hole under the fence and let all 3 dogs escape. Fortunately she got my dog back without any issue, but I am astounded by the lack of good judgment. She also did not tell me she was taking care of another dog that day, which is surprising since we met a few weeks back specifically to make sure that her dog and my dog got along nicely. Not telling me there would be another dog is just dumb and risky. The fact that I had to hear about my dog's little adventure through the neighborhood from a random person and not Mel bothers me...I wonder if she would have even told me about it or if she would wait until my dog got hit by a car or something. Don't use this sitter.
