Energetic, active dog-whisperer!
Pet care experience
Growing up with dogs has taught me how to read dog behavior and provide them with the attention they need. I supplemented this knowledge by taking an animal behavior course, and have spent time with many different dogs with widely varying temperaments through working at a professional doggy daycare over one summer. I also ran my school's campus dog walking club for three years. I am very active and love to run/walk/play with dogs, and I am free all day to care for them because I am a student on break for the summer. I'm familiar with many dog training techniques and make sure they don't get away with bad behavior while avoiding excessive strictness/severity. I maintain a middle ground in dog training that keeps both the dogs happy and the people happy! I am also particularly good at calming anxious dogs and winning the trust of nervous dogs (such as rescue dogs), and I'm adept at handling big dogs. Above all, I just absolutely love dogs and value any time I get to spend with them!

Mei-An was by far the best Sitter we have expierienced from Rover. She and her Family provided our Dog a welcoming home while we were away. It was amazing to see how our Dog Logan took an instant affection to her on the meet and greet. Mei-An handled a medical issue that Logan had and took care of all the details. She is a special person who truly is a Dog lover by nature.
Hendrick had a great time with Mei-An! She paid attention to detail and believe Hendrick was well taken care of.

A typical day
I can take dogs on multiple long walks a day, and like to let them off leash on a small trail nearby. I only do this if I absolutely know the dog will come when called-- with a new dog, and with the owners permission, I do some careful tests to see how well they'll respond to being off leash before letting them roam free. I can play fetch for hours and throw a frisbee 80 yards, so active dogs will have fun with me. That being said, I also appreciate cuddle time and down time, and I have a lot of experience dealing with senior dogs. Above all, I always get the measure of a dog and treat them accordingly. If they love long walks or running around, that's what we'll do! If they want to rest, we'll stay at home. I'm great at reading behavior and always know how to treat a dog right.
