Will sing to attract/disarm pets
Pet care experience
Most of my friends have pets and I've lived with other people's pets since I was 17 so at a certain point they started asking me to pet sit, especially since their pets would be attracted to me singing (I didn't choose to be Cinderella but I'm not mad). I've never had a personal pet and plan to strictly foster for the next decade to prevent any complications with a personal pet. I can't truly speak to the nature of how protective a lifelong pet owner is, however, I have no intention nor willingness to risk harm, negligently or otherwise, to an animal. For example, my friend's barn cats were 7th-story flight risks, so the balcony stayed closed unless I physically relocated them to a sealed room and triple-checked they couldn't get out. Even then, the door remained closed behind me. Once, My friend's husband unknowingly gave their dog a grape and I stopped her from eating it again when she spit it up whole. I'm not gonna feed them non-animal foods without both research and consent because I don't want to risk poisoning or aggravating allergies (I have dietary restrictions myself) and I'm gonna react like it's my first time seeing a pet every time because their love is as unmotivated as mine is for them :)

Mehara is a very responsible individual with previous experience taking care of pets. They love animals and do a great job taking care of them
Mehara helped with taking care of both my dog, Bacon, and my cat, Maple while my mom was out of town. They had met a handful of times prior. Bacon is a massive pitbull mix dog. She's very excitable and hyper, and Mehara is pretty small compared to Bacon, yet they were able to take care of Bacon really well, and managed to teach her not to jump up on them. Maple is also not the friendliest of cats, but Mehara took care of her needs regardless, and was also able to pet her a few times. They also kept the animals fed, as well as taking Bacon out to play in the front yard on her leash. Bacon is a reactive dog and they managed her really well, and was consistently able to guide her to where she needed to be so she could be safe. I would absolutely be happy to have Mehara take care of the two of them again. While I don't think Maple has any strong opinions either way, Bacon absolutely loves hanging out with Mehara.
Mehara took care of my two cats every time I had to leave town. They would watch the kitties for a period of 3 to 4 days consecutively every other month. My oldest cat is a shy black short hair named Bowie with severe allergies to chicken. He so sensitive that he will react to human preparing human food. When Mehara took care of our pets Bowie was instantly comfortable with them, cuddling in their neck and shoulders with happy purrs. Mehara took excellent care of our cats strick dietary needs for controlled meals at specific times while helping Bowie with his unique needs due to his allergy. The amount of care and attention to detail when handling not only cat food but also planning timing of human food around the cat food schedule for Bowie allergies put me at a ease and I was confident leaving my furrbabies with them. Mehara and I no longer live in the same city. But if they were still close they would be my number one choice to care for my pets. I strongly recommend them.
Mehara was wonderful with my two dogs and I had zero worries leaving my boys in their care. All instructions left to ensure an easy time for all were followed, and I couldn't have been happier.

I had to block access behind my computer because my current foster would sleep next to the fan and I was worried he would burn himself. I've also created a bit of an airlock with a bin in front of my room to prevent the dog from eating all the cat's food. I always leave the screen closed if the balcony door is open and close him away for a short time if that's not an option (with food, water, and litter box ofc). I feed based on the information provided to me on the animal and enjoy playing and singing with them. I'm also not a dirty individual and do my best to leave no trace in other people's homes.

I don't have breed preferences but I definitely can't do larger dogs I'm unfamiliar with just because I'm a pretty small person. Important is any routines; feeding time, medications, potty breaks or anything else you think I should know!
A typical day
I've mentioned I love to sing for the animals which most enjoy a lot. I also like to play tug of war with dogs and sometimes, (depending on their size) I lightly play wrestle with them - I usually run out of energy first. I'm also determined to teach a dog to fetch a TV remote one of these days cus if I can teach someone else's dog to do it, I can probably teach my own one day and it seems like a useful skill lol

I'm self employed so I make my own hours, save for a few hours of physical therapy in the evening I do almost daily. I can plan my schedule around almost any booking
