Hi, Meghan here! My husband, Wade & I are a dog-loving, couple with an ideal environment & almost unlimited flexibility for your pet family. Although we're both RN, BSN's (Registered Nurses) by profession, I'm currently working at home full-time as a homemaker. I'm a multi-generational WNC local, native to Hominy Valley in Candler & very willing to help with pets anywhere in WNC. Wade & I have a 3 y/o little girl who, from birth, has been exposed to animals, been meticulously taught animal safety, gentle interaction & has inherited our passion & philosophy that a life is not fully lived without dogs. Our first babies are our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, 5 y/o Thistle & our elderly mix, Cash, who happened upon our doorstep one night in a thunderstorm & has been home ever since. They are both adored & treated as equal parts of our family, although our elderly Cash prefers to spend his days outside & his kennel at night. Please note that this is his most comfortable routine & we keep him separate from any boarding or daycare doggies to decrease his stress level & anxiety, so your pet will only be socializing with our Thistle. Both my husband & I are avid & devoted lifelong animal lovers, being independently responsible for all of our animals' care care from early ages. We have experience in birthing/postnatal puppy care, medication administration, post-surgical & subdued care for injuries & space to accommodate those needs. We live in a quiet family neighborhood perfect for our frequent dog-walks with an expansive yard & large deck with quick access to I-40 & 19/23. Our entire yard is currently partially fenced in a very small area with plans to expand this fall. As an outdoors family, we spend a lot of time in the surrounding parks & on rivers as fly-fishers. We also take full advantage of the safe space, trails & allowance of pets as Biltmore Estate season pass holders & would love to take your dog-baby along as well! My schedule's flexible & I'm happy to be as active or as restful per the needs of your pet. Our home has the unique space & functionality to accommodate any need or preference you or your dog may have. We are passionate about ensuring a secure & comforting environment & are happy to arrange a more individual set-up depending on needs. Ours has been playfully christened as The Dog House & although corny, also true. So, please feel free to bring anything into everything that might make your baby feel more at home!
