I am a mother of two teenager girls. We have cared for dogs and cats for 15 years. Until recently, we had only rescued adult animals, often with special needs, who needed a good home to spend their last years. After our most recent pets passed on, we adopted our first puppy a year and a half ago. This changed our lives. The three of us adore her, and while we spoil her with care and love, she spoils us back with unconditional snuggles and licks. Since she came to us, my kids have been begging me to open our home to care for other dogs. We are finally ready! Play time! Walks! Training! Young! Old! We are so happy to love your dog while you are away! I currently work from home, take two long walks a day, have a fenced yard for the dogs to run around with. We also make sure to go to the beach once a week, to let the dogs run around and play. Our dog Josie is a human and a dog lover. Your dog would need to be friendly and non-aggressive. And, while they do not need to be crate trained, they do need to be potty trained (except for puppies - we can do that!). We have a set of bells that our dog rings to go outside to potty, but typically, on non-rainy days, we just leave the front door to the yard open and let the dogs play and explore on their own (there are no hazards in our front yard). At nighttime, your pup can sleep in her crate or up on the bed with us - as long as you state your preference, we will stick to it. Your dog will have three human caretakers and a little doggy playmate (Jose is a 10 pound Cavapoo). S/he will be well cared for - we know how much easier it is to be separated from your animal family, when you do not need to worry. It is our goal to give you that peace of mind while you are away.
