I’m in medicine and I grew up with a veterinarian-father. We've had every type of animal you can imagine - horses, cows, dogs, cats, iguanas, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc.! You name them, I've probably cared for them!! Also, it doesn't hurt that I have a vet on speed-dial ;-) I've got a high-energy lab, named Shiva, who loves to run - so if you need your dog walked (or run) I've got you covered! Why I love dog sitting Growing up we always had a house full of pets - my first dog, Mike, was a Husky-lab mix. Her parents thought she was a boy and named her Spike, which was grand, until we realized he was a she, but the name had already stuck. As I grew up, we had golden retrievers, lost dogs, and rescues of all types (including one dog that followed my brother home!). Currently, I have a rescued lab, Shiva, who owns the couches and loves to sniff all the smells :-) Meet my pets Shiva - black lab-ish (rescue) Bagheera - lynx-tipped Siamese (rescue) About my yard We are in an apartment complex, so there's no dedicated backyard space. However, we have two dog parks, one with a pool!! There are also two great parks within walking distance I visit daily. My experience administering medication Yes - my father is a veterinarian so I grew up helping him with animals - either holding a vein for an IV or helping him on calls. I have a few tricks to make the process easy and stress free. I’m currently on break through August 1 so my time is wide open! Just let me know your schedule and let needs. Except for the Euro Cup…. I can handle 1-2 friends for a couple days at a time. Overnight stays are totally doable. Shiva likes company (however I do have a cat….)
