Pet care experience
Having grown up with dogs, I am a natural born dog lover! I currently have a lab-mix named Bruce who is very high energy and requires lots of walking and off-leash running time. In the spring of 2017 I also began volunteering with AARCS walking and caring for the many, many dogs that go through the shelter. Caring for the dogs at AARCS has prepared me for working with dogs of all ages, sizes, energy levels, and behavioral concerns. I would love to take your pup for a long, great walk - no matter the weather! We can go on walks through your neighbourhood or play at local parks (on or off leash, whatever you are more comfortable with!). I am habitually on time and pride myself in being extremely reliable.

My pup has met Meghan in a past life (before we picked her up from aarcs to be fostered) and was so happy to see her. Between Laylas extremely happy reaction before and after her walk and knowing Meghan from AARCS I have complete trust in Meghan making sure my Layla Bear is taken care of. Thank you so much for helping us out while I was sick and for all the amazing things you do for AARCS! Layla can't wait until the next time I'm sick or swamped with school so she can see you again.
I have known Meghan for over a year and met her at AARCS on caregiver noon shift. She has recently been “promoted” to shift lead level as she comes on a regular basis and has demonstrated excellent skills working with the dogs and their care. It is always a pleasure to be “working”(volunteering) with her and she shows great affection towards the dogs.
Meghan such a great dog person!! She is always so patient and understanding with the dogs needs. She works tirelessly and donates so much of her time to make the dogs comfortable and helps them figure out how to "do dog" again. I fully trust her with any and all of my dogs.
Meghan loves dogs! She has taken on my dog a few times and he loves her to bits. He gets super excited as soon as he realizes that he is at her place and totally comfortable staying with her. My dog can be a bit of the of a bad ass but for some reason he only behaves for her.

Some great places to start are: age, size, breed, energy level, any bite history, behavioral concerns (jumping, mouthing, etc), and how they are on and off leash (do they pull? do they have good recall?) I am open to walking, playing, and cuddling with any and all dog breeds - large or small!
