Pet care experience
I've always been passionate about animals, which is how I ended up with 2 dogs and 3 cats of my own! I feel that pets are members of the family and they bring unparalleled joy. I believe that animals should all be treated with love and respect, and that it's our responsibility as humans to advocate for them. I always care for any animal as if they were my own. I currently work at a vet hospital and am constantly expanding my knowledge base in regard to animal health and wellness. I worked at a doggy daycare for 6 years and became the General Manager. During this time I learned a lot about dog psychology, body language, health and positive training techniques. I ensured the dogs were appropriately fed, medicated and that all client instructions were followed. I got to know the individual personalities and quirks of every dog that came to the facility and fell in love with each one of them. I also made sure to keep an open line of communication and transparency with each pet parent regarding their dog's health and behavior. I'm Fear Free certified as well as Pet CPR certified! I have experience administrating all types of medications from pills and creams to injectables! One of my senior kitties has diabetes so I understand the importance of ensuring the correct dosage is administered at the right time, as well as monitoring for signs of hypoglycemia. One of my dogs has anxiety, G.I. issues, allergies and is a picky eater so I know all the tricks to comfort a nervous pup and convince them to eat if they're feeling hesitant. Nothing makes me happier than being around fur-babies and I would be honored to care for yours!

Meghan was the best Dogsitter I have ever had. She was attentive to every detail, wrote thorough reports, sent lots of photos, and left the house immaculate. I will definitely ask her to come again and recommend her to family and friends.
We left our four animals (two cats, two dogs) in the hands of Meghan for four days to go on vacation. We actually had another sitter lined up, but our large husky/GSD mix was too much for her on a practice-run trip. Meghan swooped in to save the day! We got daily pictures and updates. I was especially concerned with the behavioral needs for our big dog and the emotional needs of our smaller (cocker spaniel). Meghan was incredible at splitting her time between the needs of the two and keeping the stinker dog in check. She also kept us posted on the status of our home as there was a major winter storm while we were away! And she gave us some tips-and-tricks for dealing with Mr. Stinker in the future. Cannot say enough good things. Looking forward to our next trip!
Meghan did an excellent job caring for our dogs and home while we were out of town. She kept us posted daily with fun and sweet pictures of our fur babies. We will definitely use Meghan again and recommend her!!!
Meghan is absolutely great, 15/10 would recommend! She would pet sit for my husband and I regularly when we went out of town but unfortunately we moved out of state and still haven't found anyone as caring and knowledgable as Meghan. We have 2 dogs and a cat who all adored her. One of our rescue dogs was abused and is very fearful around people, even women, but she was always comfortable around Meghan and super excited to see her which tells me a lot about her character. Henry and I never had to worry about our kids while Meghan was watching them - she gave us detailed updates twice daily, was very responsive and always sent lots of pictures and videos. She also made sure their feeding and medication instructions were always followed correctly (they're complicated) and took the time to get to know everything about their weird quirks and personalities. She also gave us great training advice when we needed help building Josie's confidence so she could live a better life and when Max started resource guarding his toys! It was also so wonderful to come home to a clean house after traveling - Meghan went above and beyond not only with caring for our babies but with caring for our home as well. I could always tell how much she genuinely loves animals and how much she cared for and bonded with ours (even our anti-social cat wanted attention from her). She even left us a card and toys for the kids when we moved! We'd had some bad experiences with pet sitters before we found Meghan and we're those crazy, picky pet owners so she was a God-send! Now she just needs to move to GA (please!) :)

I know fur-babies miss their pet parents when they're away so I make sure to give each one of them plenty of love and affection! Picking up poop, scooping litter and cleaning messes are all part of having a fur-baby so I'm no stranger to making sure a home is clean and sanitary.

A typical day
Mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise so I make sure your pup has it all! I'm happy to practice and reinforce any tricks they know or help them learn new ones! I know of different games for canine enrichment such as playing hide and seek (with people, treats/food and toys) and how to encourage them to use puzzle toys or make our own. Walks are also a great bonding experience and I love making sure pups have all the time they need to explore each interesting smell while also intermittently picking up the pace so they get all their excess energy out.

I'm currently working full-time during the days with a routine schedule so I'll have plenty of time to spend with your babies, especially during the evenings and weekends!
