Pet care experience
As a former senior-dog owner, humane society foster parent, PAWS volunteer, and animal lover I have experience caring for many types of dogs/cats (old/young/high energy/mellow). My sister and I have fostered over 50 puppies/dogs/kittens! I like to stay active and am also very gentle with more sensitive dogs. I believe that the happiest dogs are the ones that are engaged with exercise and surrounded by snuggles. I work from home with a lot of availability and have experience administering medication. I can handle high energy dogs with ease; and also help shy dogs feel safe and comfortable. In addition, I was raised in a home that loved pets but also loved clean carpets. I will make sure your baby gets lots of playtime without causing a mess. Above all, I understand that even the cutest pups can be a lot of work and I would love to help you make that job a little easier!

Meghan was fantastic, watching our golden retriever for a weekend on short notice. Meghan was very responsive both leading up to the stay and while we were gone. We felt totally comfortable leaving our dog with her and our pup had a great time!

I live in a second floor walk-up with one flight of stairs (shouldn’t be too strenuous for my handicapable pups). My back yard is completely fenced in and there are no other pets in my home.

Before dog-sitting I'd like to know if your dog is sensitive towards certain things...small children, other dogs, other animals, etc. That way I can be more cautious when walking your lovely pup and make sure they’re comfortable while you’re away. Similarly, I know diet can be very important for keeping your dog happy. I’ll do my very best to keep all their routines in tact!
A typical day
I enjoy long walks on the lakeshore or around the Lakeview neighborhood. So many sights and smells for them to enjoy! The fenced backyard also allows for some free play time and fetch.

I currently work remotely and only head into the office once per week. I am lucky to have a lot of flexibility and availability during the workday and can flex with your schedule.
