Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and absolutely adore them. My relationships with animals are built on love, respect, positive reinforcement, and a very healthy dose of exercise. (A sleepy puppy is a happy puppy!) I recognize the importance in routine, play time, outdoor time, and affection. I also recognize that all dogs are different, and am happy to customize schedules to meet your doggies needs! I have had dogs from 6 months old to 15 years old and know that they each need their own brand of TLC. Apart from my family dogs, I have pet sit for many friends and love getting some doggy time (and often, running buddies) back in my life. I have a fenced in backyard and am three blocks from Golden Gate park, ensuring your dog can get the proper stimulation they need. I have a car and can take your dog to the vet in case of emergencies.

For this last stay, Meghan took Sando on an incredible week-long adventure. Each day, Meghan shared awesome updates on everything they were up to - from long walks in GGP to 1:1 puppy play dates, Meghan again went above and beyond to ensure our pup had the best time with her. We cannot recommend Meghan highly enough - she's our go to sitter in SF. We feel so lucky to have her around since we know Sando is in great hands whenever he is with her! Meghan treated our pup like her own and was so thoughtful and caring. She gave us daily updates and adorable photos reminding us how well our dog was doing while we were away. Would definitely book her again!
Meghan took our dog Charlie on lots of walks, hikes, and beach trips, giving her all the exercise she needed while we left town for the weekend. She also sent along thoughtful text updates every day and was very responsive. 10/10 recommendation—Charlie had tons of fun, and we hope to hire Meghan again :)

My basic rules: - Breakfast and dinner are at a set time each day (up to you) - Two walks daily (morning and afternoon). For breeds needing more exercise I can run them up to five miles and can take them to a dog park or beach for additional running. - No people food or food within reach of dogs - Treats are used for positive reinforcement only - Dog has access to my fenced in yard (a great place for afternoon naps in the sun) - Dog is never left unattended (inside or outside) - Aparment is doggy proof; no wires, shoes, chewable items in reach

How do they do away from home, with strangers, or other dogs. Any behavioral habits, food requirements and exercise needs. As I live in an apartment building, I cannot accept dogs that bark often.
A typical day
I’m in a outdoor paradise in the sunset! Between Golden Gate park, the UCSF trails, and the beach, there is no shortage of places to get moving. I typically start the day with a breakfast and run, length depending on the need of the dog. Then it’s a nap time in the sunny backyard, relax time, or play time. Come evening I like it get a second good walk in, usually accompanied by some sunset views at Grand View Park. (A very photo perfect spot for your pup).

Availability
I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, and would be the ideal sitter for someone looking to get away for the weekend. I am not available to sit on Tuesday - Thursdays as I prefer not to leave a dog home alone.
