Pet care experience
Former Executive Director of a rural animal shelter with 10 years of experience offering in my home cat boarding. Cats will be in a bedroom designed for all of the comforts a cat could hope for. Windows for bird watching, hiding spaces, places to climb and scratch, and plenty of comfort. Comfortable with administration of medications, thorough cleaning between guests and handling all of the interesting cat personalities that we love (including spicy!)

Boarding cats will be kept in the cat bedroom. In the rest of my home I have personal pets, including 3 dogs and 1 cat, all of whom are seniors ranging from 11 - 19 years old. This bedroom used for boarding is designed for the comfort of cats with lots of enrichment and comfort. I have experience in a shelter environment so cleanliness and safety are top concern, and I have the skills and knowledge to ensure that this room is clean and healthy for each guest.

A typical day
At this time I am offering boarding for cats in a bedroom that is separate from my household pets. A typical day will include morning and evening feeding, cleaning and playtime. I can sleep in the bedroom if the cat would be most comfortable with that, but would not do that if it was stressful for the cat.

Availability
I work full time, but welcome cats to enjoy their space during work. In the evenings, I'll be home to love on them, clean, feed, medicate, play and whatever else your pet needs. This would be fine for many adult cats, but is not suitable for kittens. Weekends will allow me the most flexibility to meet your cat's needs.
