Pets are Family.

Pet care experience

I have had pets in my life for as long as I've been breathing. I learned to take my first steps holding our rat terrier, Missy's, tail. There are no bad breeds. I love all animals, even the ones that don't love me lol. I promise to treat your little friend like they are my child. I also spent the last two years in the pet care industry. Boarding, grooming, training, and daycare. I am trained well enough in grooming to do minimal haircuts (removal of mats and/or small area trims) and nail trims.

Safety, trust & environment

I do not offer care in my own home, but am adept at following whatever instructions I am given. For walks, I would ask you to provide your pets' harness if they have one, otherwise I prefer to use my personal slip lead. I do not use retractable leashes due to safety concerns. I am more than happy to walk two small-medium dogs at once, but if your dogs are considered large or giant I would ask to walk them separately, again for everyone's safety.

Information Megan T. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pets have any allergies! I believe in pawsitive reinforcement and solidifying good behaviors so I love to pass out treats when pets respond well to commands or start learning how not to pull on their leash.

A typical day

I'm well versed in the different breeds and their needs. I also am extremely comfortable reading a dog's personality. If they're a runner, we'll fetch for days. They want attention, let's cuddle. Tug until my arm falls off? Absolutely. I'm also not sure this counts as fun, but it has become second natured to me to provide training while playing, walking, and generally interacting with pets. This means I will work on teaching your pet to sit to greet people, allow you to leash them easier, walk on a leash politely, sit before a door opens, etc. The more you book with me, the more ingrained I can help these behaviors become.
