ONLY AVAILABLE IN NEW JERSEY! Ever since I was little I enjoyed being around and caring for animals. They have always brought this shy kid comfort and companionship, and I make it my life mission to repay them any chance I get. I also like being of help to people and being someone you can depend on! I have 20+ years of varying pet care experience ranging from my own pet family (cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, fish, and rodents) to professional experience with being a pet care specialist at a daycare/lodging facility, vet technician, a horse retirement volunteer, dog walker, and pet sitter. I have experience administering oral medication and insulin injections, and I have cared for pets at many different life stages. I currently care for a mischief of rats and a planted aquarium with a betta and red cherry shrimp! I spend a lot of time making sure they are getting the things they need and their spaces are clean.

Megan is wonderful and we are so happy we found her on Rover! She is attentive and knowledgeable, and a breath of fresh air. Finding someone to stay with our pups is normally so stressful but with her, I wasn’t stressed at all about being away from my babies for the entire weekend- which never happens! We have a house full of dogs with different personalities, ages, and particular schedules. She navigated their routine with ease. We came home to wagging tails and smiling faces! We are excited to work with her again in the future :)

I care deeply for animals and it is very important to me that they are happy and safe. I offer my care for any pets you may have along with dogs or cats. I follow directions provided for the care of your pets closely and always keep you updated. Also, I respect other people's homes, and make sure everything is as it was and tidy during my stay. I don't drink or do drugs, and like my alone time, so house parties are never a worry lol.
Information Megan S. would like to know about your pet
No breed preferences. Most importantly, I would like to know if they have any special medical needs and emergency contact/veterinarian/groomer information. Are they food or toy aggressive? Also, how well they walk outside on a leash (do they pull so much they hurt themselves, do they like to run after animals, cars, or bikes/skateboards)? Are they well behaved around strangers, children, or other animals? Do they need help with stairs, and are they ok with being picked up? How are they with car rides? Do they like to play pranks on the sitter? I am open to caring for any animal. If any other animals are part of your family, and we are both comfortable with the arrangement, I can include them in my care services no problem. My only restriction is doing live feeding for say a snake or a turtle. I'm ok with frozen. As a rat lover I just couldn't do it.
A typical day
We can play with their favorite toys, and lots of massages of cuddles, of course! I love the outdoors so long walks, hikes, or beach visits would be fun! We can do tricks for treats, hide n seek, chase, and photoshoots! I will spend as much time with them as needed to make sure they aren't anxious while you are away.

Availability
I am a freelance artist and a homebody, so I'm available to spend practically all my time at your house with your babies. I understand the importance in staying the night, and always default to that when pet sitting for multiple days. I only need to take a few ours every other day to check on my pet rats at home. I like to leave on "dog or cat tv" on YouTube if I have to step out for a bit.
