Pet care experience

Hello, my name is Megan! I decided to join Rover 5 years ago, because I LOVE animals, and currently don't have any, so there is a slight void in my life. I enjoy getting to know the personality of your individual pet and their likes and dislikes. We will bond, and I will love the walks, snuggling, and playtime just as much as they will. I live in a spacious 3 bedroom (1600 sq ft) duplex in a neighborhood perfect for long walks in Montrose. I live with my boyfriend who considers my pet sitting and our guests a great perk of dating me. He is always just as excited as I am when we get to have somebody stay with us. (He’d like us to have a dog and cat of our own, but it’s hard for me to betray 4 years of clientele, other pets, that I’ve become incredibly close with before moving in together). I will make your baby's health, comfort, and happiness my very first priority during any job. I know he/she will be missing you, and I will be empathetic, fun, and nurturing to help them stay up-beat in your absence. I LOVE cats, too!

We never worry about the furbabies when Megan is watching them! She’s a great communicator, friendly and prompt. We (and the fur children) love her!

Megan is the best! She has been there for us several times in a pinch when our dogs need a walk or just some TLC. Highly recommend!!

Megan was very reliable and professional. She sent us lots of photos and updates through the week where Luca our cat was boarded at her place. Megan gave Luca hers meds as needed and we felt confident our cat was very well cared for and loved on throughout her staycation!

Safety, trust & environment

Since I work completely remote, I am able to keep eyes on your babe essentially all times of the day. My neighborhood has several blocks, safe and ideal for long, fun walks. I have high attention to detail and am able to intuit if your pet is feeling off. I have alerted owners in advance several times, calling out a UTI after a walk visit; calling for a vet that determined cancer in my father’s cat after a visit, and rushed a dog to the ER during a drop in when i noticed his health had taken a drastic dip since the week prior, discovering he had improperly been given a medication by a vet earlier that week that could not be mixed with his daily pain medication that was starting to cause him kidney failure, (thankfully he is healthy now). I pay a great deal of attention to your baby when I am with them, it is the most important thing to me.

Information Megan S. would like to know about your pet

If your pet has any special needs, any medications (time and dosage), potty training difficulty, food servings and frequency. It’s also important for me to know ahead of time, if your pet gets separation anxiety. It is also good to know what time of day they usually go #2 to make sure they are having healthy, routine digestive functions. I like to know what their favorite hobbies are and any triggers they may have that I can look out for.

A typical day

A typical day starts with cuddling in bed, if your pet is allowed on furniture, a walk or breakfast depending on their routine order. We may visit a local dog park, if they like other dogs. We will definitely play fetch and (light) tug of war (careful of their teeth) while they are visiting!
