Previously a Vet Assistant!

Pet care experience

Welcome to Teddy’s Mom Pet Services! Established in 2012. I previously worked as a Veterinary Assistant for 10 years before getting married and moving away. I am kind, reliable, punctual and efficient in everything I do. After I got married I paused my pet services for 3 years to settle into married life. Before that I ran for 10 years. I started my business when I was in college and I really fell in love with it. I am a homemaker now and I don’t have the commitment of a day job making me available as needed. I've always had dogs of my own and I currently have a 2 year old neutered male dachshund named Teddy that is extremely friendly to dogs, cats and people. I lost my childhood Dachshund, in October 2020 named Schroeder, and in April 2017 I lost his brother named Basil. Schroeder was a 15-year-old diabetic so I am trained in giving insulin and Basil was 14-years-old who had Kidney Disease and Hyperparathyroidism so I am trained in administrating medication and giving fluids in the home. I have that security that you will feel very comfortable knowing that just in case life happens I can handle most things. I am also a big fan of walks. I love to walk dogs and make it part of my everyday exercise. I will love your pet no matter how big or small no matter how crazy or calm. I can take care of your whole furry family!

Megan said with our pups while we went on our honeymoon. She kept us informed on how they were doing the entire time and sent pictures to ease my worries. Can’t wait for her to watch them again!

Megan was great with our two dogs and let them sleep with her. She cleaned everything she used. Megan is the best dog sitter we have ever had!

Can't say enough good things about Megan! Highly recommend & will definitely be hiring again in the future! We have 2 greyhounds, one of which is a super senior w/some special challenges. She handled all their needs effortlessly, kept them safe & happy, sent us pics & updates, and left our home just as we left it. Very pleased!

Megan is absolutely wonderful. We are completely at ease on our vacation because we know that we have “family” looking over our dogs. She’s great about sending updates along with photos. Always there when you reach out to her.

I prefer to care for dogs and cats in their own homes. Whatever routine you wish for me to fit into with your pet I can make it work.

Information Megan R. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet.... 1. Counter surfs. Examples: Your dog jumps and grabs things off the counters, tables and so on. 2. Doesn’t like certain noises. 3. Doesn’t like other dogs. 4. Doesn’t like other people. 2. Takes any "occational" medication/ treatment Example: If your pet takes an allergy medication when needed (not an everyday administration) for itching, sneezing, coughing and so on. 3. Scared of anything. Example: If your pet is scared of storms to let me know what you do during them. (medications, comforting) 4. Has any weird habits or acts out in any way. Example: Doesn't like being touched in a certain area, is a chewer and/or doesn't like certain noises. Just let me know anything and everything about your pet so it makes our time spent together fun and relaxing for us both.

A typical day

I can stop in multiple times a day for routine drop in and/or walks. Normal walks would be around the neighborhood and if you would like I can take your dog to a dog park. My dog Teddy gets along with every dog, cat or person he has met and would love to join me on my visits to your home to either play with your pet and/or go on a walk with your dog if you would like as well!
