Howdy! My name is Megan, and I ADORE all critters (but especially dogs)!! I have a Bachelors of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University; and I have professional experience with animal care and training. I worked for 2 incredible years as a Zookeeper for the Houston Zoo, and taking quality care of animals is my passion! After working for the Zoo, I spent a year working as an Animal Services Officer in Mesquite, TX helping take care of the animals in the city and shelter. I have experience caring for all types of animals, but dogs and cats are nearest and dearest to my heart. I have experience with safely caring for animals of all temperaments or specific needs. I can do medication administration (both oral and injected), walks, baths, play-time, and reinforce any training you're working on with your pets. I have been dog-sitting since I was a teenager, and I pride myself on the care I provide for my clients' fur-babies and homes. I believe pet-owners deserve someone they can fully trust to take care of their pets (ie. their family). I believe our pets give so much to us, that they deserve the best we can give back to them! I would be thrilled to meet you and your precious fur-baby!

Megan is one of the fabulous zookeepers I work with at the Houston Zoo. She cares for about 250 individual animals a day, all year long. Her daily goal is to make sure the animals lifes are better then what they were yesterday. Before Megan started working at the Zoo she was also a wonderful volunteer at St. Francis Wolf Sanctuary. There I had the opportunity to train her. I can personally say that Megan gives 100% to all animals in her care. She does everything with a smile and is not afraid to ask questions. Megan has a great work ethic and can be fully trusted. Animal care is definitely her calling.

I love all dogs (no such thing as breed preference here!) I think it's nice to know a little about your pet's personality and likes/dislikes before sitting for them; that way I'm able take the best care of your fur-baby as possible and make sure they have a fun time as well! Please let me know any dietary needs/medications. If there is an training you are working with them on, I am happy to help reinforce those behaviors while I'm with your dog. No information is too much information in my opinion. If there is something you want me to know about your pooch, I'm all ears!
