Pet care experience
Since I was born our family always had pets - cats, dogs, chickens, turkeys, doves, ferrets, sheep, horses, etc. When I was 9 years old I got my first personal pet (a ferret). After seeing how much I loved him and that I was dedicated to do all the work to take care of him, I have always had a pet of my own. For many years now, I have been the choice pet sitter of all my friends and family. This has even extended into my neighborhoods as I tend to make friends with the neighborhood dogs. Because of this, I end up being the favorite human for dogs to go play with whether it be a walk around the block, a couple hours to run errands, a weekend getaway, or a family vacation, I cover it all. I am skilled with baths, walking, cleaning up after them, feeding, and keeping on top of their training. I can help with animals in any phase of life as I have experience nursing newborn kittens and squirrels and I have assisted multiple fur-babies in the final days, giving them care and everything they could want or need.

Megan is a fantastic dog sitter. My girls really loved their time with her. She sent so many pictures and updates I knew the girls were in good hands.
Megan did a wonderful job with out kitty yet again, he was happy & everything was in order. She even brought in our trash can which we hadn't asked her too. Megan goes above and beyond. It's more difficult to find someone who gets cats and she does!
Megan was professional and fun for our kitten Rocky, especially since he's now in his "tween" yrs and loves to give love bites. I told Megan my concerns and she really worked on and playing with him with toys he can bite. The litter box was clean, which with a new kitten is super important to keep up good habits. She even left a clicker for Rocky which was so kind as I explained i wanted to start that training! I highly recommend her for your pets.
She is fantastic. Returned home to a happy puppy!

I like to learn the animals routine and plan accordingly. I strongly believe in keeping the animal in an environment that makes them feel safe and allows them to relax and have fun, even though their humans aren't around. I recognize some animals don't do well outside of their own home and others do well in any environment - I do what the owner and pet prefer. I do have two fur babies that on occasion I'll bring around to play, only if okayed by the pet owner and the pet I am watching wants or needs company. For pets that I watch at my home, I do have a fenced backyard with lots of room to run and play. I have a few different sized crates ranging from small to extra large so crating your baby won't be a problem.

I prefer to know their name, energy level, how big they are/breed, if they can have treats and whether or not they like to be loved on (belly rubs and hugs). If I'll be taking the pet out of their home, I like to know how they get along with other animals and other people. If there are any special needs or accommodations (can't do stairs, needs help standing, uses a sling, etc.).
A typical day
I'll spend hours outside playing fetch and raking up leaves for the dogs to play in. However relaxing and enjoying the sun, my company, or snuggles I'm just as happy.

I'm currently working part-time on an as needed basis. It’s a family-run business and they let me know in advance when they need an extra set of hands. Since it is a company that is family-run, I can come and go as I need, so there aren't any issues with time.
