My first dog had special needs. She was Epileptic and had a liver condition that left her unable to be spayed, so it was challenging to socialize her. When she came into my life she had never been on a walk, only carried. She had only eaten human leftovers and never her own food. It was a lot to train and care for this girl, but sometimes I miss the satisfaction from nurturing her now that she’s gone. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, snakes, lizards and pet rats for clients and I’m happy to add to that list. My dream vacation is caring for elephants at a sanctuary in Thailand.
