Certified Vet Tech
Pet care experience
I have worked with animals for about 10 years doing boarding, training, and being a certified veterinary technician. I currently work in canine and feline physical rehab. I have two English Springer Spaniels, 14 year old Gabby and 2 year old Earl. I enjoy the simple (but sometimes also demanding) lifestyle of the old dogs, but am comfortable working with all ages. I am comfortable administering medications and fluids. I am experienced in working with dogs on restricted activity due to injuries or illnesses. I have worked with a wide range of breeds and sizes successfully. I have lived with and competed in dog sports with multiple deaf dogs and a blind dog. I have multiple options for energy outlets in order to keep dogs happy.
Reviews
Megan is wonderful. Your pets are lucky to be watched by her. Thanks!
Megan did great with my Princess. She likes to hide sometimes when it's time to get her meds and Megan fished her out and made a friend. I'm so happy she was able to help me out when I was traveling.
Megan is amazing! There is no one else I'd trust more to care for my pets. She is knowledgable and experienced with elderly and disabled dogs and is always up for a good play with the young and energetic! Megan took time to listen to my concerns and specific instructions with regard to my pets' care. She is an excellent communicator, timely and trustworthy. Each of my pets are so happy to see her when she comes to visit them.
Megan is a dog person. She loves dogs. I first met Megan when she was substituting for a trainer in my dog training class and later again when she volunteered at the local mixed breed dog club (with her two active sport/ hunting dogs). I highly recommend Megan and have trusted her with my dogs for years. I feel especially safe leaving my dog with Megan as I know she has vast experience from her job as a certified vet tech working at a specialized dog sport and rehabilitation clinic. This means I can trust her to have not only my dog's safety, but also their health in mind. Having had a dog with some health concerns (bone cancer/amputation), I know how hard it is to have someone who understands the special needs and medical concerns our pets have. Megan does that and more. Megan respects and accommodates for the fact that every dog, family, owner, relationship is different and has different needs. She is professional, responsible, trustworthy, generous with her time and most importantly compassionate and caring; I cannot recommend her enough!
