I will love them as my own. ❤️

Pet care experience

First and foremost: We do not “board” animals. We provide them with a loving, caring, and fun environment. Often trying to give them a vacation experience of their own! This is also not just something I “do on the side” like you’ll often find is the case with pet caregivers (not knocking it- it’s just not me). This is what I do full time. All day, every day. Pups (and sometimes, but not often enough, kitties) are the center of my world! I do not leave my home when animals are in my care (except in rare cases- you will be asked prior) and my days revolve around keeping your pets happy! If you’re looking for someone who is going to understand that they are more than a pet to you, that is me. And I am ready to take on the challenge of filling those very big shoes in your absence! I’ve loved animals since I was a small child. But not in the same way other kids did. I never wanted to chase them around or get in their faces. I would observe and try to understand them. Never approaching them until they approached me and only matching their interest. I had a respect for them from a very young age. That love and respect has carried into adulthood and I now have 3 children with whom I’ve instilled those same values. Together, we welcome pets of all different types into our home to love and care for. This is very much a family business! If you’re new to Rover, feel free to use my code: MEGANM31962 to receive $20 off your first stay! I started off providing pet care for neighbors, family, and friends. Then my little client family grew locally through word-of-mouth. Now I am happy to expand our reach through the Rover platform! Most of my furry clients are and have been acquired outside of the Rover app. Because of this, the number of reviews, and especially the number of repeat clients, showing here are not an accurate representation of the size of my satisfied client family. As a result, I am more than happy to provide references upon request. That being said, I am truly grateful for all of the Rover users who have left me reviews and who continue to use my services through this app! I have 60+ different brands & kinds of treats, at least 100 varying types of dog and cat toys for all ages and sizes, tons of bedding (including our own beds LOL), poo bags, bowls (stationary & portable- for walks), pet first aid supplies, and just anything any pet could want or need! *Toys & bedding are washed & sanitized weekly. Bowls are washed in between every use.* **Below statistics show that I have a photo sending percentage of 70%. This is NOT accurate. 100% of my customers have always and will always receive pictures and/or videos. I am big on communication!**

She was amazing. There's no other way to put it. She updated me constantly about labradoodle Remington. She took amazing care from dusk till dawn. Communication was 5 star with her. I never had to question or worry on anything. Highly recommend. I even got a doggy treat bag when I left. Very thankful and would pick her again.

Megan kept me up to date with texts and photos through out the week. Megan's family treated my 'Little Girl' like their own. Leaving you pup with Megan will give you peace of mind while you're away.

ROVER ASKS: HOW DO YOU CARE FOR PETS IN YOUR HOME? How I care for your pet will depend greatly on your instructions. For example I have some clients whose dogs cuddle up beside me in the bed to sleep at night and some who have kennels they have to sleep in. I have some dogs I hand feed at very specific times of the day and some who just need a bowl full left out all hours of the day, and everything in between. I have some who need lots of outside and exercise time and some who prefer to relax indoors. And then I have some whose owners give me free reign to care for them as I please. WARNING: if you choose this option, your pup WILL be sent home spoiled rotten. I think there will be a certain level of spoiling going on whether you give me specific instructions or not. But having an idea of what they’re used to can be helpful to me since I try to give them as much “normal” as possible. They’re already going to be in a new place with new people so some familiarity in the form of their usual routine or structure can go a long way in helping them adjust. My motto and what I tell my kids is: “We adjust to the pup. We don’t make the pup adjust to us!”

Information Megan M. would like to know about your pet

As previously mentioned, any and everything you can tell me about your pet will go a long way in helping me care for them in the best possible way. This is especially true if your pet has special needs, allergies, PTSD, abandonment issues, separation anxiety, takes medication, has past trauma, or any type of mental or physical health ailments. I will also need to know if they are on a strict schedule, or have training or commands that need to be kept up. In addition, it is VERY important that I know how your fur baby is around children. And this is going to be the first question I ask you. Love them? Doesn’t care for them but will tolerate them? Rarely or never been around them? I need to know these things for the safety of everyone involved so please be up front about this from the very beginning of our conversation. We have kept many pups who don’t necessarily care for kids as well as those who have never been around kids. My children are well behaved and able to adapt to the pup and it’s temperament/personality. It is just imperative that I know these things beforehand so I can properly inform and prepare my children. This applies to your pet’s behavior toward other animals as well and is just as important to know! I do not have pets of my own but will board up to 3 or 4 at the time. So it is essential that I know how yours will interact with others. If you prefer that your dog (or cat) be the only one in my care, I am one of 2 sitters in a 30 mile radius to offer lone-boarding. Continue below for details. *LONE-BOARDING* Lone boarding is something unique to very few boarders and is a stay where your pet or pets will be the only ones in my care. This is available for an additional fee as long as I don’t have anyone else already booked for your particular dates. This is more likely a possibility if you are booking at least a month or two in advance. However, if you find yourself in a bind and are booking last-minute please feel free to still ask if lone-boarding is available for your dates. I sometimes have cancellations or days/weeks where I have no one booked. The cost for lone-boarding varies greatly and will depend on when you book, the dates you are booking, and other circumstantial factors. I try to calculate the cost in a way that makes it fair to both you and me. Contact me for a quote. Note: While you can opt for lone-boarding for any reason that you’d like, it is mostly for pets who are not friendly around other pets, those who have severe anxiety around other pets, or those who are special needs and require uninterrupted care. It is not needed for pets who like to be the center of attention or who want a lot of it. And here’s why: Every animal in my care gets adequate attention whether I have one dog or four. And I use the word “adequate” instead of “plenty” or “a lot” because not all dogs want attention all of the time and then others want it constantly. I know how to tell the difference and treat them accordingly. Whether I have one dog or four, a pup will never be the one to suffer because I have other dogs to care for. My house work will be what suffers. LOL this is comical but true. I will always let outside factors be what is affected before ever allowing a dog to miss out on all the love, attention, and care they deserve. Please rest assured that whether there are 3 other pets here during your pup’s stay or just your pet alone, all of my furry clients receive everything they want and need. From time and attention to treats, walks, naps, and play time. It is all personalized and tailored to the individual dog. “We adjust to the pup. We don’t make the pup adjust to us!” ———————————————————— MEET AND GREETS: I don’t require them to keep your pet. As long as your pup is kid and dog friendly, or at least tolerant, I promise there is nothing they could do to make me not want to keep them! Those two things are my only deal breakers. If you would like a meet and greet, that is completely understandable and I will happily accommodate in most circumstances. However, I do not offer meet and greets for last minute bookings or stays that are shorter than three days or three nights. So as long as you’re booking more than two weeks in advance and for a stay of three or more nights, we can arrange one upon your request. Exceptions can be made of course if deemed necessary. If you’d like further explanation as to my reasoning behind this, please feel free to ask! If you have read this far and the entirety of my profile, please let me know by giving me the code word “purple” and receive a dollar off each night!

A typical day

As explained above: a typical day with your pet will greatly depend on your pets individual needs and wants, what he/she is accustomed to, and their overall personality. There is no one-size-fits-all care given here. There are some pets whose typical day in my home will include lots of playtime and others who may not like to play at all. Or who prefer a relaxing belly rub and/or cuddles. And some who like all of the above! I’ve also kept pets who do not want to be bothered and just want their food and their potty needs met. We love these type of animals from a distance. All animals I keep are given respect, attention, and love. No matter what that might look like for your fur baby. This is why communication about your pet is important to me. Anything and everything you can tell me about them, I want to know! We can discuss these types of things at a meet and greet, over the phone, in person during drop off, or you can write a detailed instruction guide for me - whatever works best for you! *Rover has my “photo updates” percentage at 80% but I just want to point out that percentage is absolutely incorrect. I send frequent photo and video updates 100% of the time. Because of Rover’s frequent glitches it is sometimes easier to communicate outside of the platform. Photos being exchanged through personal phone numbers are not accounted for in this calculation.*
