A loving home while you're away
Pet care experience
☀️🏖 I don't book clients more than than 2 months in advance. My calendar will be blocked off but I'm happy to chat about future plans or answer any questions! If I had to go away for an evening or a couple days, I'd want a safe and loving home such as mine for my dog to relax in. I offer a home away from home with loving arms perfect for cuddling. Why I love dog sitting: I've been a dog lover my entire life. My parents breed our family Labrador Retrievers for a few years and I always had the job of helping feed the puppies. I had a close bond with my Lab, Cody, for all 16 years of his life as well. I started volunteering with rescues in college and was blessed with my great pyrenees when I was 21. He had a life full of love. He was diagnosed with oral cancer in autumn 2021. I stayed home with him to provide 24/7 care and no penny was spared. He was my baby and will forever be missed. I'm not ready to welcome another dog into my heart full time since Opey was my everything but caring for other's dogs had helped me heal that special place in my heart that's just for dogs. *In lieu of the mystery respiratory illness going around, if your dog has persistent sneezing, coughing, lethargic, or has new eye discharge or runny nose, please cancel your reservation. Fees and fines will be waved as long as I have 24 hour notice. If your dog has been sick, please do not make a reservation unless it's been 2 weeks since their last symptom. Sneezing and eye discharge from spring allergies is okay 👍

Megan did an excellent job taking care of Oscar!! She clearly loves dogs and also is incredibly thoughtful about how to ensure they are safe and comfortable. She sent us the best pictures of him during his stay. She also had so many wonderful tips and information to help us new dog parents learn how to take care of our boy. We would feel so comfortable continuing to leave Oscar in her capable and loving hands when needed.
Megan did such a great job watching Harley while we were on vacation. So much so that we plan to use her doggie daycare services regularly so that Harley has a chance to go back. Communication was regular, pick up and drop off a breeze, and Harley got to interact with other, well adjusted dogs in an environment where there was a professional watching. It took away so much of our anxiety having him with Megan.
Megan was very thorough with her pre-assessment before confirming booking. It made me feel comfortable that she actively thinks through whether my dog will be a good fit for her household. She was very gracious about letting my dog sleep on her bed.
Megan took amazing care of our sensitive rescue. Booking was easy and Megan returned messages quickly. She also took the time to have a meet-and-greet to make sure she and our dog, Caramel, were compatible. While Megan was watching her, she gave us multiple updates and pics each day. We knew right away that Megan had a lot of experience with a wide variety of dogs, including those with special needs. We are looking forward to having Megan watch Caramel again soon!

I think I was born a crazy dog lady 😜 I had multiple dogs that lived long healthy lives as a child but I was blessed with my own dog at 21. He got the best of the best care and that's what I'll provide for your dog(s) as well. I know how to administer oral and injection medication, cpr, and dog first aid. Walk down the first aid isle at a pet store and I basically have it all. I would prefer to see the owner administer the medication once before so I could study their technique to best mimic it to keep the dog at ease. If your dog likes to play with toys, I make sure they're the right size so there aren't any choking hazards. If they're tough on toys, I have those for them as well. I don't take my eyes off of them when they're playing. I have a large fenced in backyard that's sprayed for critters every spring and fall. Plenty of space for zoomies or laying in the sun. I am always outside with the dogs so they will be fully supervised.

I don't have any breed restrictions because I don't believe in aggressive breeds. Size also doesn't matter to me. I would like to know the dog's routine. I want to keep the dog(s) schedule as close as possible to not upset them and to keep being in a new place as least stressful as possible.
A typical day
In this house we're all about the dogs! I have tons of toys, make homemade treats (I'll check with you first for allergies), hours of fetch, puzzles, sniff mats, lick mats, and Dog TV. We take walks around the neighborhood, hike metro park trails, visit the Scioto Audubon dog park, and relax at Schiller dog park. I'll even take them for a small ice cream or pup cup if you'd like :) Basically, I'll treat your dog as if they're my own and I treated my dog like he was my child so they will be in the best hands with me.
