I have been taking care of animals my entire life! I have had a terrier, a Rottweiler, a Great Pyrenees, two coon hounds, and an American Pitbull. I’ve had 6 cats as well who got along with my dogs fantastically! On top of this, I’ve had 14 snakes, an iguana, a monitor lizard, a gecko, rabbits, ducks, a macaw parrot and a Quaker parrot. I grew up with my neighbors always asking me to dog sit, walk, and feed their pets. My other neighbor had a dog rescue in her home, she housed 10+ animals at a time and I was her first hired help. Giving these animals medicine, bathing them, helping them with flea/ tick removal and of course socializing them! I’ve continued on my path, volunteering at several shelters for cats, dogs, birds and reptiles.
