I have always had pets in my life, but really developed a love for pet care when my family got our first dog when I was 11 years old. He passed last year an old and happy pup. Training him from a puppy taught me a lot about potty training, crate training, and teaching obedience and tricks like sit, stay, drop it, lay down, and roll over. As a sheltie, he sheds a lot and has gotten me used to consistent brushing and hair maintenance. I now have a sheltie of my own who means the world to me! Beyond pill-taking, I am not experienced in medical care but am open to learning more about this. In the last few years especially, I have gained experience in house sitting coupled with pet care after a two month period of cat sitting that involved cleaning, playing, feeding, and house care like garden maintenance.
