Must Love Meg (Dogs!)

Pet care experience

Starting at a young age, I realized I had a passion for dogs! Their names were Zak and Jeep, the two Golden Retrievers that I got to call my own. From there, I pet sat for neighbors, friends, and family and continue to do so. While at PetSmart, I was in pet care/sales learning so very much about all kinds of animals! Now I am learning even more as a Veterinary Assistant. I miss the everyday play, exercise, and fun that the dogs bring me! I am trusted by many to care lovingly and responsibly for their pets.

Megan is incredible! She’s the best with our cat and is consistent with communication. We love Megan and will always ask her for help if we’re ever out of town.

Megan was amazing!! She communicated through the entire time we were away, sent updates and pictures and made me feel more at ease being away from my cat Maggie. Megan is definitely my new go to!

Megan has been dog sitting for us for many years. Over the years, she has watched 3 different dogs we have owned, and it is obvious that she has a genuine love for dogs. She is dependable, and we feel very good knowing that our dogs are being cared for while we are away. We have no hesitation at all with recommending Megan as someone you can trust with your canine family members while you are away! Jill and Phil R

Megan has been my pet sitter for more than a decade. In that role, she stays at my house and tends to all aspects of pet care while I am out of town. When she started dog sitting for me as a teenager, I had a 110 pound, difficult to handle dog. Currently, I have two 100+ pound dogs and a cat. In addition to the care that pet sitters typically provide (feeding, walking, giving medications, etc.), Megan has helped with physical therapy and recovery through the three TPLO surgeries that my dogs have had over the years. She has also taken it upon herself to brush my not very cooperative, long haired dogs. Her patience exceeds mine and is quite an asset. Megan is attentive to the dogs' behavior and activity and is quick to notice if something is wrong (limping, lumps, sores, etc.). It is her compassion and love for animals, however, that I appreciate the most. She gives my dogs and cat lots of attention and affection; she frequently gets down on the ground or floor to pet them or rub bellies, is willing to share the couch with them, and even lets them give her kisses (I won't even let them do that). When I go out of town, I know my pets are going to be well cared for physically, emotionally, and socially. My dogs love her so much that when I need them to come to me, instead of using the command "come", I say "let's go see Megan" and head toward my door. Instantly, they respond. She’s awesome!
