Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a teenager and I’m currently raising my own pup who’s almost 4 months old, which has been a great refresher on basic training and patience necessary to gain an animal’s trust. My first and biggest priority is that your dog feels safe with and trusts me, and I am 110% committed to going at their pace. My girl Stella is my best friend and I know how anxiety inducing it can be to leave your pet alone or with someone that isn’t *you* so rest assured, your pup will be treated as if he/she were my own. I can work with a myriad of personalities, ranging from playful to introverted and am more than happy to arrange a meet and greet so you and your pup can decide if I’m a good fit for you both.

A typical day
I’m very adaptable to you and your dog’s needs, whether that be mental or physical stimulation, or both! I also have a very social, 5 month old puppy who plays well with others without getting rough, and I’d be happy to introduce your dog or set up play dates ONLY if you and your pup are comfortable. If you’d like to do a supervised meet and greet with Stella, that is absolutely doable too. Happy to adapt to you and your pup’s needs! Our favorite places to play and walk are Red Gate Park, Seneca Creek, and Rock Creek Park because of all the different smells, sounds, and of course birds and squirrels.

Availability
I currently work from home Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and will be adding Friday to that schedule at the end of April. I’m a neuroscientist who’s transitioned to an admin position so while my meeting schedules can be unpredictable at times, I’m generally very flexible.
