Pet care experience
I grew up constantly visiting a small town vet clinic thanks to my mom (vet tech for 20+ years), so I have spent many years around dogs and cats. I've helped care for both healthy and sick animals of all ages. Growing up I had small to medium sized dogs and outdoor cats. I currently have one cat I rescued in June of 2016 and a bernedoodle I adopted in July of 2019. I have attended many obedience training sessions over the years and have done extensive research on my own about the current methods.

Megan is a great dog lady! She does very well with my husky who has lots of energy and is 6 months of age! Her mom is a vet tech so no need for 24-7 Vet assistance. I strongly recommend her especially for active dogs as she will walk/run your dog as well!

I currently will not be having at home services due to living in an apartment complex in the outskirts of Iowa City. They are dog friendly/pet sitter friendly, so this may change in the future if there is interest.

I do not have a preference of breeds or sizes for dogs. All dogs should be non-aggressive and if you are worried about how your dog will act with strangers, please let me know and we can set up a prior meeting with you present to see if I would be a good fit. Questions to answer before dog sitting: 1. Does your dog have any health concerns? 2. What is your dog's attitude towards strangers? 3. What is the normal routine for your dog? (food/walking schedule, etc.) 4. What sort of activities does your dog enjoy and how often? 5. Is your dog neutered/spayed and up to date on all shots?

I am a full time teacher with the summer off. I have a very flexible schedule and would love to help out new customers to drop in as needed as well as a set schedule with owners that want consistency for their pet during the week!
