Pet care experience

Dogs have been a big part of family life ever since I can remember. From family dogs (Poppy being my best friend for nearly 17 years) to friends dogs, they’ve always been there. I’ve looked after many dogs throughout the years and have been very lucky with the dogs I’ve looked after via Rover.

Megan was excellent whilst house sitting our two dogs. She came for a meet and greet beforehand to get to know them especially as we have a nervous rescue. She was great at communicating, on time and most importantly the dogs loved her! We’d 100% use her again. Thanks Megan ?

Meg looked after our two dogs in our home and it couldn’t have gone any better. It was our first time leaving them with someone other than family so we were nervous but Meg was super helpful and sent us loads of updates on how they were getting on. We’ll definitely use Meg again!

Megan was more than we could have hoped for! Our pets clearly loved her and she treated them as if they were her own. She looked after them exceptionally well and is so friendly and approachable. Could not recommend highly enough!!

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a flat and we do have a railed balcony for quick toilets if needed, but my appt complex does have a large communal garden area with plenty of grass and running space. There are plenty of other dogs in my building and other residents do use the lifts with their dogs so there is a possibility of running into another woofer. WFH I can take the dog out whenever they need and can walk during my lunch or after work. Myself and my housemate don’t smoke and the flat is always clean. Plenty of space for a pooch to lull around in and happy for them to sleep in my room at bedtime or in the lounge if they need their own space/routine. I have also had a DBS check due to my profession.

Information Megan B. would like to know about your pet

If your dog has any dietary requirements, this will be helpful to know. Also, if your dog has any medical conditions/medication, I’m happy to administer anything/look after in any particular day ways. Final thing would be sleeping arrangements. If you already have your dog sleep in a separate room, I’m happy to continue with that, or they can sleep anywhere they like.

A typical day

I live in green quarter where we have some grassy areas and a small water fountain your dog can splash about in when out for toilet breaks. Plenty of green spaces around where I live but will likely drive to somewhere more dog friendly - if you have anywhere in particular, I’m happy to go there! Weekends, I’m more than happy to go further afield so more hikes/day trips to give your woofer the exercise it needs.

So I currently work 2 days in office and 3 days at home. Every Monday I will be in the office, but can choose my second day so can work around any doggy needs. The days I am in office, I leave around 7:30 and get back about 6. I do have a housemate who works unsociable hours, so is often home when I’m at work so dogs would not often be alone (or at least alone for a long period of time). If your dog is friendly and calm, they can come to the office with me no problem. Occasionally there are other office dogs but I can check with my colleagues to see who’s bringing in their dogs if you do not want to mix your dog with others.
