I have had at least one dog living with me since I was about 3 years old. I have had several dogs over the years, but I got my first personal dog early last year. I have always played and took care of my animals, but I am the only caregiver of my fur-baby, Scarlet! I have been through obedience school training with a professional to learn the do’s/don’t’s when working with dogs. I have always been the person to dog-sit or take the dogs out for friends/family when needed. I want to give all the doggies all my love! My usual schedule: my dogs go out right when I wake up in the morning. I walk them around until they go to the bathroom. They get a morning walk about 3x a week due to my current schedule. They then gets fed before I head off to class. I have class 4 days a week right now until early December, and then only 3 days a week in the spring. My dogs get let out immediately when I get home and we go for an afternoon/pre-dinner walk. We go to the park at least once a week so they can run around freely. Then they get dinner and go outside a few more times before bed. The weekends and days that I don’t have class, we don’t have a set schedule. We just walk and play whenever they have a lot of energy, multiple times per day. Pet care fits well into my daily/weekly routine because I have been accustomed to it almost all my life. I live an apartment currently. Both of my dogs have their own crates. One crate is a large size to fit mg bigger dog. My apartment is a bit smaller-sized, so I have the dogs outside a lot, either on walks or at the park close by. I treat all pets with the same loving/caring kindness and love. I enjoy advocating for animals and their safety/well-being. We encourage and practice good behaviors, and use food/treats as a motivator when practicing commands. I cater to my dogs needs so that she can trust me and listen to me, as a friend and a caregiver.
