Pet care experience
I’ve grown up looking after dogs. From 3 Alaskan Malamutes who I spent time with every day after school from age 5, to my grandad’s gorgeous old German Shepard, I’ve always adored dogs. My dad adopted a 3 year old Dogue de Bordeaux when I was 8, and she then had a litter of 9 pups who we helped look after, eventually keeping one of the boys. My mum allowed me my first puppy after begging for years at age 9, on the premise that I took care of him. We also had a few other dogs in the family who I looked after and spent a lot of time with. When I was old enough, around age 18 I began taking care of friends and family’s dogs while they were away, including a Labrador, a cavapoo, French bulldogs and a border terrier. I have been a member of Borrow my Doggy where I have walked and played stranger’s dogs. Unfortunately, my childhood dogs have recently passed away with age. Additionally, I have moved into my own home, so while I love walking and spending time with my dad’s new dogs, I don’t have a dog of my own in the home at the moment. I terribly miss being around dogs all the time, and jump at any opportunity to look after or be around dogs. I also have experience looking after cats. My Auntie, grandmother and grandfather have always had cats, so I have grown up around cats also. I have cat-sit for my grandmother on a few occasions, as well as regularly looking after two tiny kittens over the last two years, and catsitting for family friends.

Megan was fab as always! Wilf is always so excited to see her.
Will definitely be calling on Megan to look after our two wild frenchies again! Professional from start to finish and a lovely person! She clearly has plenty of experience with dogs, not put off with our list of do’s and don’t she put our mind at rest to enjoy our wedding weekend away - Thankyou Megan!
Megan has been absolutely wonderful with our Wilfred. She has been so accomodating to his additional needs. Megan has been reliable and friendly! I will be calling upon Megan again in the future for her services. Would recommend! Xx
I was very worried about leaving our precious fur baby with someone who he was unfamiliar with as Sheldon can be needy and he’s very much one for routine! Megan set up a trial night for us and sent us regular updates via message including photos and videos which put us at ease, you can see clearly how much she adores animals and Sheldon seemed to love her too!♥️ If she is willing, we would definitely use her services again. Thank you so much!

I live in a quiet area right next to large grass area and a big woodland which leads to a lake which is perfect for dog walking. I have a gated back garden with some grass, and easy back door access. If your dogs stays at home with me, they will have plenty of space to play and to chill/cuddle with me in the living room. If you’d like me to walk or care for your dog in an area familiar to them I will happily get used to your space also.

Information Megan B. would like to know about your pet
I am used to walking dogs of all different ages and sizes. If we have an initial meet and greet, you can let me know if any special/particular things your dog needs or likes (such as length of walk etc).
A typical day
Depending on your dog’s needs, I can be very active or chilled out. If the dog simply wants company I would happily sit with them and cuddle. If the dog likes to play we can play inside and outside. We can also go on long walks. If your dog is staying with me, there is a lovely open field and a wooded area which leads onto a big lake - perfect for dog walking. If I’ll be walking your dog around your home, I’d love to explore the areas around there.

I currently work part-time and am completing my master’s degree. I work roughly 12 hours and go to uni 6 hours a week. I am usually home most of the daytime and only busy 1-2 evenings a week with work. I spend most of my times studying, so having a dog around to keep me company would be ideal. I also need study breaks, so going for a walk or checking in on a dog would give my brain a break and help me reset.
