Ready and full of dog & cat love

Pet care experience

I’ve had dogs all my life of varying breeds, including collies, jack russles, labs, shelties, and lots of other mutts. I have experience with dog walking, dogs with health problems, and dogs that have spring fever and get loose easy! Having been around dogs of different ages and sizes, I also have experience with their different needs and how some have to be let out constantly to do their business or play while others just want to lay around. Likewise, I have plenty of experience with vet visits, handicapped dogs, and looking out telltale signs of ear infections, ticks, or other problems. I’m also available 24/7 to provide excellent and top notch care to each dog so they get love and attention while you’re away!

After having a few drop-ins with Meg for our persnickety mini Aussies, Roxie and Banner, to get to know her better, we had Meg stay for an overnight with them. Meg had already earned our complete trust as well as Roxie and Banner’s! That overnight was the best time away because my husband and I were able to go on our trip with total confidence that our babies were in EXCELLENT hands! Even so, Meg communicated with us while we were away, keeping us informed that all was going smoothly and providing us with precious pictures of our babies! We could not be happier! Our babies had a great time with her. Meg was meticulous not only with keeping to Roxie and Banner’s schedule and routines… but she also treated our home with respect and even brought in the mail and a package that arrived in our absence. We are so thrilled with the whole experience with Meg that we have scheduled another get-away… this time she’ll be sitting with our precious fur-babies for 4 nights! What a relief to know she’ll be there giving them the love, care, and attention that we want for them! Thank you, Meg!!

There are no words to describe how thankful we are that we found Meg here on Rover! Roxie and Banner (our mini Aussies) can be quite the handful and they are usually very slow to warm to people other than our family (in addition to being quite spoiled). They LOVE Meg and grew to trust her far more quickly than we had even hoped! Meg was willing to work with us to schedule a few drop-ins so we and our babies could get to know her prior to overnight stays. Meg is intelligent and paid close attention to our routines with Roxie and Banner. She was very patient with our babies, allowing them to warm up to her at their own pace… all while still exhibiting just the right balance of firmness to let them know they couldn’t take advantage of her. I HIGHLY recommend Meg! She’s the epitome of what any dog owner (and lover) would want in the pet/house sitter they entrust their fur-babies to! :)

A typical day

We will play fetch, go to dog parks (owner discretion), enjoy walks at Burke Lake, Alexandria, and just around the neighborhood. We will watch movies together, maybe learn some tricks, and, of course, receive plenty of love and attention.
