Animals over humans any day😜

Pet care experience

I am 25 years old who loves animals! I have several years experience with working with animals. I have a qualification in level 3 Animal Management which I achieved at Moulton College. Throughout my college course I learnt about how to care and handle different species of animals. I have had several different species of pets over years including Guinea pigs, hamsters, cats, dogs, reptiles and fish.
I love being in the outdoors which makes me an very active person I would love to have some extra paws accompany me on my daily walking adventures.
I would love to be able to help pet owners out by offering pet sitting for your pets and taking good care of your beloved ones in whatever way is needed. I'm quite flexible and easy going and therefore will try to make whatever you are looking for work - be it daily visits to your house to check on and feed your pets (daily cuddles guaranteed), take your dogs for long walks or spending several hours a day with your dog. I am not a professional - by no means - but I believe my experience with my own dogs growing up and my love for animals have not only prepared me to take good care of your pets but will guarantee your pet to be looked after while you're at work or otherwise busy.
The services that I can offer includes:

Dog Walking 1-1 walks or group walks ( 1 or more dogs from same household are entitled to discounts)
Pet Visits
Small Animal Pet Visits
Home Boarding - in your own home
Puppy Visits

I work as a part time pet sitter and dog walker which I absolutely love! I love my job as it has always been my dream to work with animals in the out doors! I find it so rewarding looking after animals. I have experience with all types of dog breeds, temperaments and sizes.
I have a 3 year old Lurcher called Henry who we rehomed from Leicester Animal Rescue. I also have an African fat tailed gecko called Gizmo!
I have rehomed 2 dogs myself, I always believe rescue dogs are so rewarding. My first rescue dog was a cairn terrier named Billy who we lost in 2021. He gave me lots of experience in dealing with dogs with behavioral issues. He was very reactive towards other dogs so this gave me a chance to learn how to control him and keep him calm in certain situations. We rehomed our lurcher, Henry in Feb 2022 from Leicester Animal Rescue. He has given me the experience in being able to learn how to walk bigger dogs. I also have experience after completing a 6 month work experience placement at Wooden House Kennels in Braybrooke. I got given the responsibility of walking the dogs who stayed at the kennels.I was able to walk a group of dogs as well as individual dogs which I am happy to do now.
I have a full clean driving license and I do own my own car which I am happy to transport dogs in. I am fully DBS checked and first aid trained.

Meg was fantastic with my fur babies, even my skittish ginger Tom took to her straight away and was happy to play, she sent loads of photos which was reassuring. I have already booked Meg again for May bank holiday, couldn’t recommend her enough.

It is always important to provide as must information as possible about your dogs even if it is small little details such as what they like or dislike. Always provide lists of medications, allergies and any behavioural behaviours that need to be aware of. I am happy in administrating medication and working with dogs with behaviour issues as I have experience in this due to having an elderly rescue dog in the past.

A typical day

I will provide physical and mental stimulation for your dogs while under my care. We will go out into the beautiful countryside and enjoy a long walk but I can also provide mental stimulation activities for your dogs to enjoy after a walk.
