In it for the dogs honestly :)

Pet care experience

I used to be on the other end of this, finding services for my dog. But after 17-1/2 amazing years, I said goodbye to my Chiez. I’m not ready to get another dog, but I’d love to love on yours. (So I currently do not own a dog, just can’t bring myself to remove her from my profile here yet) I have a yard with indoor/outdoor access. Shade trees and privacy. There is a flight of stairs leading up to my house. Please no dogs that would jump a 5-1/2ft wall, and would appreciate no diggers. I have flexibility to wfh, but since CA has opened up more I’ve been going in to work a bit more. My available days should reflect when I am doing that. I can give meds (spent the last year doing so with mine in many creative ways), and so have experience with a senior dog. If yours has any leaking issues, I just ask you provide diapers. I might be getting into the territory of unnecessary information here! If your pup is good off leash there is a Park nearby to throw a ball. Otherwise there is some room in my yard to do shorter catch games. If you prefer to have a meet and greet prior to your first stay, we can meet at Stoner Park and practice covid safety measures (and ask that you do as well). Drop-off is preferred for stays. I’ll update this more as I learn what questions you all will ask, but just know I’ll do the best I can to take care of your pupper.

This was my first Rover experience and Meg made me feel totally comfortable leaving my 9 year old pup Banjo with her. It’s obvious that she’s a dog lover and it gave me the feeling that she would take care of my dog as if she was her own. Meg communicated well and sent adorable photos throughout Banjo’s stay. I found her to be caring, responsible, empathetic, and flexible and I will definitely be booking her again next time!

Meg was great! We will definitely have her watch our pups again. She sent daily updates on how the dogs were doing. She also went above and beyond by taking the dogs for a hike, which they loved. They may have wanted to stay with her when we got back from our trip. She has a fenced in yard that the dogs also loved. 10/10 would recommend having Meg watch your dogs.

Best experience ever with Meg! This was my first time boarding my puppy so was a little nervous. But Meg kindness, sweetness and great communication took away all my worries immediately. She sent me photos and updates throughout my puppy’s visit so my mind was at ease at all times. Will definitely work with Meg again!!!

Meg is as best as they come! Dogs are family to her. If it’s taking a dog for a walk, burning off some of that extra puppy energy, or just spending some cuddle time with them, Meg will pour every ounce of love into it. Your dogs will be as happy as they come and better of for it! If you want someone who your dog will love and she will love them right back - pick Meg!

i hope I’ve described this well in the rest of the profile, but I utilize a neat setup of gates and fences to allow the pupper to chill inside or outside. When we want to stay indoors, I have a baby gate by the stairs which allows the pup to relax on the porch and watch the goings on of the driveway or come back inside and cuddle instead :)

Home

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Information Meg H. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know: - is your dog on any medications? - would your dog jump a 5-1/2 ft stone wall? - does your dog dig? - is your dog crate trained (don’t currently have a crate but figure good to know if you use one) - is your dog friendly or aggressive to other dogs (front neighbor has dogs so they’ll be across a fence)

A typical day

I used to take my pup on daily walks, so would love to take yours on them. If it’s a weekend stay I could find a dog friendly hike in the area if you’re okay with that. Cuddles (if the pup allows of course)

Life has started to pick back up some and I am wfh less often, but I have a pretty flexible job where I can wfh at times if I do so need, and if I do need to go in, my yard with garage access is a great place for a pupper to spend the day in shade, sun, or a comfy bed inside.
