Pet care experience
I used to pet sit in Virginia before moving out here. Our family absolutely loves dogs and we are home most of the time since we homeschool our kids. We have lived in the Jackson area for 14 years. We recently really enjoyed having a friend’s very energetic, large dog (Pit Bull) stay with us and loved having him around. It brings our family joy to have a pet around to show affection to and play with. We have a backyard and a great neighborhood for walking a dog right near Garaman Park. If your dog would like lots of attention, we would be a great option for you! The only pet in our home currently is a bearded dragon (lizard) that stays in a glass enclosure and the dog who recently stayed with us did not notice him :)

Meg is so sweet!! She was communicative from the start, before we even officially booked an overnight! She kept me updated with pictures and messages telling me how the visit was going! She brought him on long walks, and he got to play with her kids who he loved. Could not recommend more!
Meg was so wonderful, my wild and energetic 3 year old pup loved her time with Meg and her family. Great communication and so many photos which I loved :) Will definitely contact her again next time I need a pet sitter!

We have a backyard and since we all absolutely love dogs we would follow your instructions to keep your pet at ease. Your dog is welcome to sleep wherever is best for him or her in our home. We could absolutely use a crate but it’s not necessary. Our furniture is very kid-friendly which makes it pet-friendly as well.

A typical day
We typically go for a walk or outside to play as a family once or twice a day and are happy to take your dog out for many bathroom breaks and walks as needed.

Availability
My kids and I are home everyday except to leave for music lessons and errands. We are gone on Sunday mornings for church. We love taking family walks and taking breaks from school to play. A dog we boarded loved to snuggle up on the couch with us while we read and was welcome to follow the kids around from room to room. Our home is very dog-friendly.
