Pet care experience
I grew up with family dogs of many breeds, ages and sizes, and I’ve been involved in their training, walking, and other care at multiple points in their development, from puppies to more elderly animals. I love dogs and they love me too! I have also worked as an attendant at a veterinary hospital, and I have experience handling large breeds. My own pets throughout the years have required specialized care that I’ve helped to administer, whether that is helping them in and out of a cone collar, giving medication, or helping them with mobility issues.

Currently I have two cats, Duncan and Ham, who are equal parts sweetness and mischief. I also help take care of my sister’s German Shepherd dogs, brothers from the same litter, one of whom is going blind and both of whom are on medications. When I meet a new pet, I like to establish trust and familiarity with them by taking some time for introductions, allowing them to get used to my scent and voice. I am very patient and gentle, but firm when I have to be.

I like to know a little bit about your pet ahead of time, like if they have allergies or are on medication, how well they get along with other dogs, and whether they have any mobility issues.
A typical day
Going for walks so they can enjoy the ever-changing landscape of scents, a dog park if they’re comfortable with that level of socialization, and games with their toys. Love to reward good behavior with praise and owner-approved treats.
