Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm in a small town in Massachusetts and have taken care of animals for my whole life - dogs, cats, and horses - I am an animal lover through and through! My family has had all types of dogs - yellow labs, Cairn terriers, & Westies, but I truly became a dog mom when I rescued my first dog two years ago at 7 weeks old. Scooby is a 2 y/o chow-beagle mix from Alabama - found on the side of the road. He is very friendly, loves people and gets along with all other dogs, and children! I have caretaking experience from watching other friends' and neighbors' dogs as well - Scooby loves any excuse for a playdate.

Meagan is the animal lover that you want watching your pet! She was so attentive, providing us with updates regularly & photos of our pup throughout the whole visit.. Its clear she is a natural with animals by how she handled our crazy corgi with so much love!Overall - amazing experience: trustworthy, loving, & a great communicator!!! We will definitely be using Meagan again in the future.
Meagan has grown up around animals her entire life with the responsibilities and blessings that come with taking care of dogs, cats and horses. She is currently the most loving dog-mom herself and anyone looking for Rover services would be extremely lucky to have Meagan as their care taker!
Meagan is one of most loving dog owners I’ve ever met. She cares for all dogs as if they were hers with immense love and care. Her dog, Scooby, is treated like a king. Scooby is an unbelievably well behaved and loving dog who gets along playfully with all other dogs. I couldn’t recommend Meagan more to care for your animal. She’s amazing!
Meagan is an incredibly loving pet-mom! She’s vigilant and responsible with her dog, Scooby. Meagan is also amazing with my dog, Gus! Scooby and Gus get along incredibly well. Gus always comes home exhausted and happy!

I am extremely safe and careful with my dog Scooby, and I would keep your pet safe at all times. Pets are family and should be treated with the utmost care. If I'm walking your dog, I would walk him/her separately from Scooby so I could focus all of my attention on your loved one. Scooby gets along with every dog he's encountered and everyone falls in love with him instantly, but if there were any issues I would separate & alert you immediately. From my experience in the last 2 years, your dog will leave happy and tired - ready to sleep for hours after a day with me and Scooby :)

A typical day
I have a spacious apartment with tons of toys for playtime if the weather isn't great for outdoor play, but if it's a nice day I will take your dog to our dog run or nearby park for fetch and/or play with other friendly, safe dogs. If you prefer walks over dog parks, I live in a very safe area of Jersey City and I love long walks. I've also had a lot of experience with all types of dog personalities, so I know when to avoid other dogs by crossing the street, and I always air on the side of caution to prevent any conflicts. My building is very pet friendly and our dog park is so safe - everyone who's a pet owner knows each other and their dogs so it's a great environment. After the pups are tuckered out, there's plenty of comfy space and beds for nap time!

Availability
I work from home most days and have a flexible schedule, where I can give your pet all the attention he or she deserves. I live in the Soho Lofts building in Jersey City, which has a large and very well-kept dog run on our 8th floor - perfect for exercising your dog and getting in some much needed play time. I also live very close to Hamilton park. If you prefer walks over dog parks, I live in a very safe area of Jersey City for long walks and poop breaks. My schedule allows for pee/poop breaks and walks every 2 hours - or more frequently, depending on what your pet requires. For boarding, I have a spacious one-bedroom apartment with multiple dog beds (Scooby lives like a King) - you can bring your own crate or wherever your dog is most comfortable sleeping is fine with me!
